    This phone surprises me. Bought purely because it was cheap £57. Battery life easily gets me through the day. Works you tube, Facebook, maps and messenger without problems. Don't play games but would guess it wouldn't really cope well with them. For me it's really ideal.

    Pretty good phone to be honest, has everything it needs all essential tools and the app plus camera. With amazing battery life. I always make sure I have two phones for emergency use. Main phone my S21 ultra and the Xioami Redmi A1 secondary love it.

    The standby time is amazing, if you don't use a phone much, keep it on 2g connection,and battery saver and leave the data connection off, until you want to use it and the battery life is better than any other smartphone I've had. Charged the redmi A1 five days ago and the battery is still 87%. Haven't had the phone switched off at all. It does have more basic features for a smartphone, and it's not really for gamers or people who stream lots of things. But it is good for a child's first phone, and good for someone who doesn't want much from a phone, for me it a spare phone for emergencies. I just wanted to test the battery life before I put the phone away

      @@emward6858 I'd like to respectfully decline that, this is comming from a Mi 11 user and I disagree. Sometimes sizes of batteries don't matter, it's how it's dealt with. If I remember clearly in Mrwhosetheboss' video where there was a battery test with the iPhone 13 series, one of the models beat the Galaxy S22 Ultra which definitely has a higher battery capacity. All these phones are amazing in their own way but I disagree that the Redmi A1's battery would make it last longer than an iPhone 14, however it's definitely nice to see a big battery being offered at this price point :) Edit: I saw your other comment and I conpletely agree with it, if you don't use your phone much, standby battery life can be amazing and with some options on, it can do better than most which is definitely a good factor for some poeple and as this is a low battery consuming device with the same capacity as other higher spec models :b
      Basically i agree but disagree at the same time :,)

    • @Chrisispoint
      @Chrisispoint  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't think the performance would downgrade to anything than what it can do at this point. Probably if you jampack it with a ton of files, considering it is an entry level device, you might experience some wait time when loading files.

    I thought on buying it because it's cheap and because I needed a camera for streaming (Twitch) that I could take with me and not use my phone and have incoming calls that interrupt the stream.
    So you say the camera isn't good enough stream? (You said "content")

    • @Chrisispoint
      @Chrisispoint  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, it really depends on how you define "Ok". Generally people would get this device either of the following:
      1. as a secondary in case of emergency
      2. for the kids
      3. for those who are tight on a budget but just needs a working smartphone that can cater to video calls and the like.
      I personally wouldn't recommend this if you intend to stream, like live stream as the quality may not appeal to your possible viewers, it'll get the job done no doubt, but the overall performance might not be as good.
      It is after all a cheap entry level smartphone.

      If the games you speak off are similar to candy crush then sure, but if it's anything like Call of Duty Mobile, or some mobile MMORPG not ideal.

    i need a smartphone that's not obsolete junk fast enough to boot apps in seconds with a decent size screen and display. something i can rely on daily for work, music, podcasts, and maybe the occasional video when i'm out and about. if i want to play games i'll play on a powkiddy, anbernic, or retroid. no need to invest a thousand dollars or more in a smartphone.

    Thinking of buying this for my kid, can I ask if you can play games on it like Hungry Shark and emulators, specifically, the Drastic emulator?
    And also, do you have the option to save music on the SD card when downloading them off TH-cam Music? Cause for some reason my Narzo 50i Prime won't let me, I can only save them using the phone's internal storage which isn't much. Sorry if this was little long winded but thanks for the review and I hope you can help me. 🙂

    • @Chrisispoint
      @Chrisispoint  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi there, actually for the emulators like Drastic, this will run fine any PSX emulator, probably but any demanding titles might pose as a problem.
      As for the downloading music from YT, this I can'r say for sure since I don't use YT Music, but based on Google's FAQ (considering it is stock Android) it should allow you to save files on the SD card.
