Hello sir I just want to ask if what are the disadvantage and advantage of using copy monitor I just want to ask also if it has a certain rules for central files or coordinate files.
Eduardo, I can't really answer you confidently, as I don't speak Spanish? You're having issues with visibility in the levels you've created from the copy/monitor tool? You probably need to change the settings under the Revit LInks tab in Visibility Graphics from By Host to Custom > By Linked View or something that gives you the result you desire, but again, I'm not 100% sure what you're asking.
We are able to select Walls, Floors and Columns. But Beams and other structural Framing elements are not be able to select and copy in copy monitor. Please help
Yugal, these elements are not eligible to be copy/monitored. The Copy/Monitor process is meant to communicate common elements between two models. Structural discipline would add these elements to their model after Copy/Monitoring the primary elements of the building envelope, ie grids, levels, floors, walls, roof. (Architecturally, these should be provided). IF you have a model that you simply want to pull these items out of, you can TAB select the specific items and copy them in thru your clipboard. Or...if you're friendly with the person you're getting the model from, you can ask them to link out those specific elements so you can link them in, and bind the link. Then these elements would simply be in a group, but in your model where they ought to be. Hope this helps.
Dear Sir I have a problem in Revit. When I add plenum speces between the roof and the ceiling the area of the roof is not calculated and the loss related to it as well. I googled this problem alot and also I put this question in autodesk community but unfortunetly there was not answer. Could you give me a hint about this problem ? Thanks
MEP is really not my area of expertise, but the spaces and zones do have height computation which some people miss when first getting started. I suggest in a 3d view, use visibility graphics overrides to show these spaces and use the section box to verify their heights. Again, my experience is not in this area so I can't offer much insight. Bill Wright, a colleague of mine focuses on this discipline, you might find the answer on his TH-cam Channel.
Travis Van Clieaf , Thank you so much for your response, I really appreciate that. I will try doing that and see what will happen. I am thankful for you.
Thank You Travis for the video!
