    India is a democratic country. A political party either in state or in centre comes to power through election. Majority of the voters are poor and or illiterate. Money plays a vital role to buy the vote. So the mandate of the people may not reflect the true spirit of democracy. Further such donation can't be without any consideration, that is give and take policy, where political party in power enjoys the major share of such donations.

  • @VN-ux2ep
    @VN-ux2ep 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    For everyone commenting below - they are not donations, but bonds. Which means, after n years, the bonds will mature and will have to be paid back. How is this going to happen? Also do they pay interest? And even more dangerous, if they are listed on the bond markets, it is easy for the political parties to devalue the market price of the bonds to zero and hence escaping from the obligation to repay the amount to the buyer.
    A very dangerous situation indeed.😐😐😐😐😐

    The proceeds of electoral bond's going maximum to the ruling party at the centre there is no level playing field for other parties to contest elections as with deep pockets the ruling party can easily win elections through massive ads, rallies through bought crowds, posters and what not . So a mechanism must be devised to ensure proceeds of electoral bond's are distributed equally between all parties contesting polls to ensure " level playing field" in elections...

    Collect GST on donations received via Electoral bonds by political parties. It will be more transparent. Not only electoral bonds GST should be levied on whatever the donations received by political parties. All donations irrespective of the amount should be made through digital payments only since the ruling party is advocating digital payments for all transactions by public.

    Simply put, public should know which business/organisation is finding which party. This will decide who we the public should vote for or not. All contract kickbacks are now being paid through electoral bonds . No wonder cronies will recieve favour from the ruling party. Hence CBI and ED have the free time to go after opposition parties. USA, need not to bla bla bla on it, there are tons of other things to focus instead of trying to get into news head lines), there is no big deal to discuss on it/spending resources on ot; Not sure why modi admin took this decision. SC said 'No' by quoting some reasons but those reasons are funny, SC again in-news.
