Based on her dialogue, she can't do anything about it so she's just an observer while she feels all the pain and agony from the lament. Until an anomaly came, and that's the rover. I think it feels weird cause we're so used to other gachas where the main character is like an NPC that doesn't exist. like they're just there to stick a sword on the floor at the end. But in WuWa, keep in mind that the rover is the Lord/Lady Arbiter. The entire story from Act 1 is alluding to that prophesy. Act I-VI is literally meant to determine if the rover is the prophesized one and whether we are on the side of the fractsidus or not. We need to understand that the rover is a creature from the legends. A legend reborn. Now, what I could expect for Kuro to do is to write the lore and story to support an OP MC. It's not bad writing or a bad trope. They just need to write the story surrounding the rover well and not to the point that they make him/her a perfect character which is boring as hell. They gave the MC a flaw and make him/her struggle in PGR. Hell, *spoiler alert, they even offed him there. I expect them to know what they're doing here. Hopefully.
i think she existed way before meeting rover, apocalyspe happens then she lost her will (?) to live and we kinda gave her a new purpose with black shore
Sometimes people react and pause because they struggle to articulate words when they keep getting new information.. Or doesn't want to keep talking and accidentally skip an interesting shot while talking.. it is not because they are disingenuine...
So what I've gathered with all the lore thrown out pre-patch, Shorekeeper seems to be a Remnant Entity, kind of like Baizhi's summon but much more complex and advanced. My running theory is she was 'born' out of Rover's desires to save/protect the world during the First Lament. While I don't think Rover is responsible for everything, they're likely to be deeply tied to the conflict at large as a mythological godlike being already, their fight against the Threnodians is probably central to the main plot. They are introducing RTX enahnced grapics into the game in future, so maybe this trailer was made utilising those elements and that's why it has such a night and day boost in the visuals. It looks absolutely fantastic though and feels like an evolution of how good PGR trailers have gotten.

I feel like the only reason the lore doesn't just became a generic op mc trope where everything is about the mc is that bc they build the other characters well. Some of them like Jinhsi or Changli who's supposed to be strong is actually strong, and while mc help, they didn't do all/most of the work, they still solved things themselves. We can also says that to Zezhi. She's just a painter, yet out there solving crimes. They made a story where the mc became the support of everyone while still maintaining the fact that they're THE mc
@@Kayanza that'll be a good addition. There have been a lot of mentions and they did shows us a bit of those like with Jinhsi with Sanhua, or Encore with Alto or Morte with Baizhi. But yeah more of those would be welcomed, tho for now maybe they'll be focusing more on introducing characters
