you know it's also funny to me that people find mg's relationship with his sister rare since I feel like vernon and sofia have the same kind of relationship. there's so many photos and videos of him being affectionate with her when they were kids and even when he was already in svt, I have never heard of them fighting ever and he supports her sincerely in everything she does like her music stuff and he always speaks so highly of her. when he was a trainee he said he wanted to debut so that she could have something to brag about like? precious as hell if you ask me ♥

I don't mean other sibling dynamics or you guys don't "sincerely support" your sibings btw!! I'm just realizing I worded that wrong and could be misinterpreted, sorry english isn't my first language hehe. I just mean like, hoshi for example would support his sister of course but he would find a way to tease her about it, probably even embarrass her online as a joke (like what he did here with the knitted nose and ears lol) bc that's their kind of relationship, but vernon wouldn't do that he just says "it was good, I'm proud of her" and that's it :)

Very true and i honestly have so much respect for vernon and mingyu for having and maintaining such a beautiful bond with their younger siblings. I am also the older sibling (sister) and my relationship with my 3 years younger brother is exactly like vernon and mingyu's, I ADORE my brother so much and try to support him always. Watching this video honestly made me grateful for our bond (even though I know hoshi and everyone else that relates to him in this aspect definitely care for their sibling) and made me so glad that my younger brother reciprocates the love I show him!!!

My older sister and I are very close in age like Hoshi and his older sister, but I feel like we're very very close because of that. My sister and I are only 15 months apart and for the past 6-7 months, since I started university we're living away from each other for the first time. I'm not even exaggerating when I say we've called AT LEAST once a day everyday if not more. Around 2 calls a day on average and we're constantly texting.
So even though we argue about random little things mostly whining, we've also never had a real fight where there was actual anger involved. I'm not saying this to flex, but I was always so confused when my friends would be like "I hate my siblings" "they're so annoying" etc. Since we're close in age most of our interests match and we've moved around a lot growing up, going back and forth between countries too, so it might've been a factor in the reason why we've gotten along so well. So I relate to Mingyu and his sister a lot. Like we're constantly going out together, communicating, watching anime and shows together even via FaceTime. So a lot of people have been saying they can't relate to Mingyu and it's unrealistic, but some of us do.

I have a sister 11 years younger than me and our relationship is pretty much the same as mingyu and his sister's and it's crazy to me that people think it's weird lol. we don't really fight ever and if we do it's never something serious, it's mostly bc there's such a big age gap and I'm being too much of a mom to her lmao. she relies on me a lot, I guess that's what helps in most cases is being in situations where the eldest has to take care of the younger ones a lot and it creates that type of bond. she likes to spend her time with me she's the reason I got to know svt since she made me watch gose with her haha

This was so fun! Yay!! I love how we got different perspectives haha.
I have a sister 7 years younger than me. And we are maybe like 60-70% like Mingyu and rest like Hoshi haha.
Also I get what Anna means with like it’s weird to find it weird seeing your sibling with their significant other haha. Tho I do tease my sister like how friends do haha.
Also I’ve seen pictures of Mingyu’s sister and she’s really pretty :) She and Mingyu do have similarities too.

1:03:30 cracking me up that Anna thinks this line of like... seeing siblings in romantic contexts as cringy is odd. i completely get this. It's not cringy or anything to see my siblings with their partners, but if i see them trying hard to be suave or cute or lovey-dovey i'm cringing for sure. like i want to exit this experience, please. I understand where you're coming from in terms of being wary of the "protective older brother" idea, but i really don't think it has to do with that much - it's not about control or monitoring or something like that. I'm the youngest in my family, and I have two older siblings, one brother (middle), one sister (eldest). Nobody really cares about SO's or finds that odd, but lovey-dovey stuff? bruh. get outta here. But then again, our parents are very not lovey-dovey so maybe we just are uncomfortable with that kind of soft affection, or changing how you interact for the sake of a partner. I think it has to do with them acting like very differently to how you know them for the sake of being romantically attractive? like it feels like watching them lie even though realistically they're not lying.
