I think the reason it was split screen then was coz she was actually in both worlds at the same time, and she had to interact with somethings physically, splitting the screen was a literal representation of what Maryanne was seeing. but this time, she's totally, fully in the other side, like virtual reality vs augumented reality, one fully puts you in and the latter splits both worlds for you

Well now I know why I had a scary ass nightmare. I fell asleep listening to this shit. Zombie dinosaurs running down the streets eating people zombies of dead people weird hulk looking zombies with sharp projectiles sticking out of its body. And running into buildings to hide, for some reason having all of assassin creed abilities to hide and climb and sneak attack kill zombies while climbing zombie dinosaurs as it try’s to eat people in a car but mashes them like peanuts instead because he bit the whole car. Shi I think Hollow inspired while sleeping and watching his videos to make an incredible game
