Wow! So much info! Another osmosis demo you can do at home is Umibudo, sea grapes, in water. The umibudo are packed in super-salty water, which makes them shrivel by osmosis. When you rehydrate them in fresh water, you can see them swell up as the water rushes in by osmosis. Osmosis before your eyes!

Hi Shenzi, You have plasmolysis starting at 2:09...I couldn't find any good footage of deplasmolysis, and I've found it very hard to get plasmolysis to reverse itself when I use elodea for a classroom lab. Thanks for your comment! Mr. W
