I love how if all humans die, the earth goes into chaos but at the same time its helping the earth as well.
earth is already chaos with humans
Earth is chaos with anything really, it someday does have to collapse.
But the only reason the earth gets better is because animals don’t have the brain capacity to change the earth.
If the earth were to say, be gaining carbon dioxide without human intervention, due to natural causes in earth geographical fluctuations, there would be any smart beings to build inventions such as de-carbonizers and such.

As for the question in the end.
Im certain cats would take over everywhere and drive many bird species into extinction before nature balances things out again.
In areas where there are wolf some large domesticated dogs will crossbreed with them ultimately becoming part of the wolf genpool.
Most of the domesticated animals will go extinct too (like sheep and pigs)
Cows and chickens might have a chance tho.

I think it would be rats. Rats would be the rulers of the new world, despite being so small.
Why rats, you ask? Well, Here's the thing.
You might already think that lions are superior to all animals, but that's wrong. They only live in the savannah, and I'm pretty sure they also mostly live in Africa. But, rats live on almost every continent (other than Antarctica, of course), and can get to be up to 20 inches from nose to tail.
They can also jump 3 feet in the air, which is probably a lot bigger than they are. They can also freefall 50 feet without getting hurt and jump 4 feet horizontally.
I’m thinking more of sea animals. They don’t have to worry abt pollution and global warming bc everyone went into a coma for more than a billion years and that means factories will shut down. I’m a believer of Cthulhu. Angler fish and giant squids or anything more than 200 miles deep in the ocean shouldn’t worry abt tsunamis since that gives other animals places to live. Tsunamis will take of any land animal and insects that fly won’t have anything to eat as all the plants are underwater, giving more food to sealife
Pigs would actually survive! If you were to release a pig into the wild, it'll become feral and breed with boars!

As for after 3 hours, most planes are programmed on something called an mcdu or fmc depending on the type of airliner. (However almost all General Aviation airplanes will crash) This allows them to literally land themselves. If properly setup the airplanes will do this, unfortunately they will not be setup for this if they haven’t been informed of what runway they are a landing on. Some airliners will survive

Yeah, I mean imagine all 441 nuclear power plants going down by lack of maintenance... Pretty sure almost the entire planet would be radiated, it would kill most animals and fish and even destroy a lot of plant life initially.

They’ll all get diabetes.
Whales and seals (basically all mammals) may survive. But some will probably suffer and allergic reaction and die.

I have an anime idea:
In a world where everyone fell asleep one day, 12 year old shinokū kirona wakes up. He doesn’t know why everyone fell asleep. Untill, he finds a book stating why they all fell asleep. The book reads; “dear who reads this, there was a curse by people not sleeping for long. Please, if you see this, and the curse already happened..your lucky, very very lucky…I think I’m getting sleepy. Save yourself. Goodnight, forever.” shinokū runs away with the book to an animal kingdom. Where he finds talking animals that learned how to read, talk, and understand humans. He runs into a talking dog named bashi. Bashi welcomes shinokū. Bashi later tells him about a cave with a spark. They go to the cave with the rest of the animals. And shinokū touches the spark, turning all animals into humans. And turn every awakener (yes, I call them awakeners) immortal. (Even the animals) and they go on an adventure to stop this curse.

Isn’t this just if everyone suddenly died? Cuz after a maximum of like 8 hours, everyone would wake up and people would be confused, but a lot less things would happen than this.

What if someone was in a coma at the time? they would probably outlive the rest of the people cause they have a feeding tube i think ;)
They wouldn't make it very long because they still need supervision from nurses and doctors, who are asleep. The machines keeping them alive will run down and stop working but they would die of starvation or lack of liquids first since the nurses have to change out the supplies often.
