Costa Rica is a fascinating country in Central America bordered by Nicaragua and Panama, a natural paradise between the Caribbean and the Pacific.Located at more than a thousand metres above sea level, San José, Costa Rica’s capital city, not only boasts an idyllic location in the heart of Central America’s coffee country, but also an enviable climate. The extent to which Costa Rica joins with European tradition can be seen in the Teatro Nacional. The coffee barons, to whom the glorious development of San José is owed, created taxes for the export of coffee beans and thus funded the construction of the magnificent building. In a fertile mountain valley at the foot of a volcano, is Turrialba, a town that radiates a serene calm but once was an important station on the route of the Jungle Train from San José to the Atlantic coast. The crater of the Poas Volcano is surrounded by the dense green of a rainforest and overlooks the north western Meseta Central. Although it is one of the country’s most active volcanoes, it is the most visited, as visitors can go by car almost to the edge of the crater. The Rain Forest Aerial Tram is Costa Rica’s most popular tourist attraction, a ride on an open gondola through the jungle. A journey of discovery amid a canopy of trees, hovering at treetop level through the solitude of nature. Fascinating nature, joie de vivre and colonial history are omnipresent on this land bridge between North and South America, Costa Rica is surely one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

Im From Europe and came to Costa Rica 12 years ago! This video is not quite accurate, cities don’t have much to offer except poverty and bad architecture, whats beautiful is outside of the central valley basically the national parks and beautiful beaches and all year around amazing weather!

I wish the narrator could pronounce the name of the Costa Rican places and locations correctly... I have lived in Costa Rica 10 years. Just about every Costa Rican Location name is mispronounced.

You definitely will love Costa Rica. But please, AVOID San Jose like a plague. That shithole is an horrible, unsafe, dirty hell... I'm ashamed that it's our capitol city and lots of tourists are brought there all the time.
Anywhere else is great... relatively safe and green.

My trip was not worth these sites exagerates everything, in 4,6 days you can see all but you need to rent a car otherwise you can not move, much better I would recommend any other country of south america, costa rica there are not many things to see, the videos exagerate everything

I lost count of the ridiculous mistakes on this video, truly a mediocre attempt, what a shame...
NTV Mistakes like?
NTV 1- "San José boasts a superb zoo" This zoo is pretty much as primitive and sad as they get and many people want to close it because it is considered shameful for the country, I cannot imagine under which logic you can consider this zoo "superb" 2- "Park Sabana Metropolitano", this is nonsense, if you cannot say things in Spanish you shouldn´t even try 3- "Valle de Reventazón", this whole section of the video refers to a valley that doesn´t even exist in any map, and they include here Irazú Volcano which is nowhere near the Reventazón river!. I´m gonna stop here because all these mistakes are only from the first 12 minutes and it would be too arduous and sad to keep going...
I agree. The plus points are the video content and quality and choice of filming. The voice is quite good and well timed with some good commentary, unfortunately the amount of mistakes in the commentary is incredible and too numerous to detail. I take exception on 2 of them. First, the commentator says that the border with Colombia is on a 70 km linear line from San Jose, which is total nonsense. 70 kms linear from San Jose don't even leave Costa Rica, another 900 kms will do it though, but you probably would hit Panama in the way. Second, the Poas volcano lagoon was used by local indians to throw virgins, a narrator from the UK found this out how? We in Costa Rica know more about the Astecs, Olmecs, Toltecs, Chibchas, Incas and Mayas than we know about our own local Indians, because there is very little in the way of archaeological heritage and specially writing, so that statement is a total fabrication to embellish the facts. I also take exception on this, no one expects an Englishman to have perfect pronunciation of Spanish names, but not even trying? You could pronounce San Jose, but not Jaco? It is almost as if he's trying to mispronounce. It is a shame, because it mars an otherwise great documentary.
This is boring.
