Kind of funny how most early heisei Ultra (before New Gen and Zero) have a very calm and slower paced opening filled with positive message, and then there's Max and Nexus. Nexus going full on rock, and Max going MAX MAX MAX.
Even though it's the first, technically, of superhero toku, for whatever reason it's also one of the last franchises that toku fans get into. But once you fall down that rabbit hole, there's no going back. Especially with the cross-cultural push Tsuburaya's had in recent years. Shuwatch!
I’ve watched the OG Ultraman, Shin Ultraman, I saw Blazar as it was coming out and I also own Ultraman X on Blu Ray; Ultraman isn’t bad at all and I will always give it its flowers (and I honestly prefer the monster designs / camera work of Tsubaraya to Toei in some cases), but I’m just not as rabid a fan of Ultraman as I am Super Sentai and Kamen Rider. I don’t know what it is… Obv. The Super Sentai love can be linked to me loving Power Rangers as a kid, but I think between Ultraman and Kamen Rider, I’m gonna choose Kamen Rider every time. I’ve heard that Ultraman is like Superman, and Kamen Rider is like Batman, and if that’s the case, hands down KR. I’m also a huge Batman fan and prefer the flawed, darker hero to the beacon of hope.
To be honest it makes sense for Latinos from certain age or period to recognize Tiga's opening... It was one of the few Ultraman series I remember was dubbed and shown on TV. At least here in Mexico I remember watching the show as a kid.

Eh no. Since she is too comfortable with Kamen Rider and Super Sentai, I personally would recommend her Nexus, Z, X or Geed (or maybe Orb). I would not recommend Trigger or Decker and even Blazar to her. Trigger was a shit show, Decker was ok but it is hard to get into if you are really new to the franchise. Blazar has a good start but it wont be able to make her hooked up to Ultraman.
