I did triples, doubles of the big lifts and ate as much Chinese food, wings, beef, oatmeal GOMAD and just went horsecock with everything. Mr Bugenhagen, since you train hard and several times a week or even day did you try after training dextrose and orangejuice(2 ounces) add in 1/2 teaspoon of sodium to hold carbs and water, 100mg of caffein to speed up the uptake and some B3 to increase bloodflow. I have tried this a few times (cudos to mr Stan Efferding, but think he got it from Lockhart the nutritionist for MMA Mcgregor) and i feel i can come back later same day and smash the weights even harder than before when i did the regular protein/carb shake. Keep the good content coming by the way. You are an inspiration!

theres some research speaking against the efficacy of BCAAs. EAAs have a complete amino acid profile and they seem to be more efficient.
the reason why BCAA's dont work "as intended" is because they only have leucine, valine and isoleucine and not necessarily in the correct ratios, but muscle repair/protein synthesis uses more than these 3 amino acids to build and repair.
leucine is the trigger for protein synthesis. when your body doesn't have the other building blocks it has to take them from elsewhere. this happens through proteolysis: if you need to repair your delts, your body might break down protein from your pecs to transfer the amino acids to your shoulders. this ends up being a zero sum game, because u might be making shoulder gains at the expense of making pec gains.

Late to the party but Jersey Gold top Milk is a great addition to the day, 1000 kcal per litre 40g of protein can’t remember the fat and carbs but it has both. After 3 years on a permanent bulk getting my needs from solids is a real struggle, an off day to me is actually not eating. Had to laugh at the chocolate because I have two squares of Lyndtt or even supermarket totally generic specially selected dark chocolate post workout and a couple of spoons of peanut butter a day either on toast or as a savage.
