Can't use the Allen wrench to remove the 'lock protectors' because someone put them in with a security bolt, and there's a little raised pin in the middle to prevent you from using the supplied allen wrench. So that's a new set of bits I have to buy before I can begin my install.
@tc9148 I've ran through carwashes and heavy storms. Haven't had alpt of water get inside but the box that the cover rolls into sits really low. I'll get an actual measurement later and respond.
The canister box for my model, which is the Tacoma version, is just a bit over 8" deep - maybe 8-1/8", and sits a couple of inches above the top of the wheel wells.

@brez85 nope. Brez just figured it out without the ease........I was expecting from other brands I saw. But it's all good now.
How is water leakage in heavy rain? How many sheets of ¾” x 4’ x 8’ can you put under the metal box? Doesn’t look like box is easy to remove.
