In my opinion, I think that the HDB public housing had started on the wrong foot when it started to allow the resale of their flat in the open market and the use of their flat for investment. In my opinion, public housing should always be treated solely as public housing and it should be priced for all to afford that is non-profit. Public housing should only be allowed to to be sold to HDB when its usage is no more needed by the lessee. In 1970s, the average 3 rooms HDB flat cost about $15,000 (new sale), while now, 53 years later, the average price of a new 3 rooms HDB flat is about $291,000, about 1840% increased. If this trend continues at 1840% in 53 years, by 10 years time, the HDB new sale for 3 rooms flat will be $1.07mil! How to buy?

actually 3k is barely even enough for paying a house monthly mortgage, utilities, hp bills, transportation, insurance, miscellaneous, repairs, food expenses, tax, parent allowance. You can only live with parent for a 3k gross, net 2.6k nett disposable income.
The most realistic comments come from the young Malaysian boy. The uncle does not know that the medical expenses for the elderly (pioneer generation) are heavily subsidized by the govt ( approx 70-80% os the total bill). And the young can quite easily purchase HDB property using their CPF savings. They usually don't have to pay cash for their down payment. It is different if you are buying a private property. The most important considration is that you must work when you are young and have savings in both CPF and your own personal savings. Every country in the world is facing higher cost of living. If you are not prudent in your spending, a million dollars salary is not enough for you. Live within your means and you wil be ok.

身為一個台灣人，我覺得新加坡的物價相對薪資而言很便宜，以我個人而言，當一家店的副店長36k台幣，鄉下房租6k（市區9k起），孝親費5k，伙食一餐抓100，一個月最少也是9k（沒有吃任何大餐的話），當然還要水電、日常用品、交通費…大約3k，這樣大概剩13k，沒有任何娛樂消費的狀況下一年大概可以存130k吧！再說說房價，全新的公寓，郊區3房1廳大約800萬，市區1200萬起，相較之下，新加坡的房價給人感覺更有希望。

新加坡不算贵，因为大家的收入都比较高；从理工学院毕业的很快就能拿到每个月三千的月薪，如果两个人结婚工作收入至少六千，不到30岁就有能力买一间3~4房式的hdb，我认为已经很不错了。我55岁，等待被“退休”中，hdb供完没有贷款，即使我现在不工作，还是能跟老婆每年出国（非邻近国家）玩3~5次，很滋润的过日子。

新加坡挺贵的，上个馆子两个人随便吃一吃一百多新人，折合人名币7-800，上海大城来说同样的馆子可以吃两次，小城市那可以吃三次，吃饭性价比不高也不太好吃，除非赚的多房子还是比国内便宜，祖屋的价格还不到国内三线城市一套房价格，但车太贵很不方便做公共交通大夏天很累人，打车好贵随便打一打远一点好几十新，人民币一两百打一次🤣

新加坡邻居印度尼西亚更贵，吃顿饭花上百万呢。millionaire 在印尼满街都是。对了，这得看汇率，新加坡一个普通的快餐吧，鸡饭、叉烧饭也就五六块，换成人民币，也就25 30块，在中国吃一份那种套餐是一样的价格。中国点外卖，分量足，品质中上的海南鸡饭，也得30块，不信你用美团看看。但收入呢？中国人均收入我就不说了。领四五千人民币的工资吃30块的饭，新加坡领3000的工资，吃5块钱的饭，你说谁压力大？

新加坡的饮食不算贵，尤其是在小贩中心和咖啡店用餐。但汽车价格昂贵（十年拥车证），房屋也不便宜（HDB99年产权）。

今天去kpoitiam吃早餐套餐-一杯咖啡+两粒半生熟蛋+两片夹咖椰牛油，因为是工会会员，新币2 .20。然后去经济饭菜摊打包2菜1肉的经济餐Budget meal, 咕佬肉+南瓜+青菜，新币3.00。晚餐就去多层停车场楼下咖啡店打包河粉／滑蛋河，新币 4.70 .. 一天3餐10块新币只剩1毛。。多惨😅。。顺便提一下我住坎贝拉一带，免得别人说我大炮花费那么贵。。😂
现在还有这个价钱吗？
贵不贵看你每天去那消费。我这里bukit gombak 2菜一肉2.40，还有打包煮炒买两包荷粉或炒饭送一包，靠近地铁鸡饭和椰浆饭又便宜又好吃2.80😂😂😂
@@singunsin1067 只要你附近的咖啡店有响应政府推行的经济餐 (budget meal), 是有的。。现在kopitiam 的早餐配套没变，煮炒档也一样。。有空你可以来 Canberra MRT 对面一带走走看看。。kopitiam 在Canberra Plaza 里，126组屋菜饭档，120多层停车场咖啡店里的煮炒档。

我去新加坡旅遊覺得很貴，但是跟台灣比起來好像才貴1.5-2倍，但新加坡的薪水可是比台灣多2倍以上⋯用薪水比起來台灣真的不知道在貴什麼
用薪水和物價比，不少國家比新加坡貴
貴在炒房....房租漲起來就會影響店家成本，很多價格相對便宜很多的店面地都是自己的
国家政府会为人民生活的国家，人民的生活会越过越好，在八十和九十年代的生活还好，但在2O23年反之生活越难过😅😅😅😅😅😅
新加坡的教育成本很高，孩子的student care, 各种补习班，兴趣班，费用非常高........
是很高，不过感觉亚洲国家都不低哦，亚洲的通病
华人和印度人生活卷，学校里要考好成绩，回家还要一直做功课和补习。马来人就比较随意，看马来人小孩基本都没上补习班，长大了多沦为低薪工人或服务人员，说明课外补习确实对于学业助力很大。

土地资源少的国家，房价贵，我能理解。车跟房是同一个问题，买车相当于购买可移动的土地资源嘛，贵也是应该的。但有些国家，土地不是不够用，房价也高，是为什么？人民收入不高，但很贵是为什么？

actually 3k is barely even enough for paying a house monthly mortgage, utilities, hp bills, transportation, insurance, miscellaneous, repairs, food expenses, tax, parent allowance.
You can only live with parent for a 3k gross, net 2.6k nett disposable income.

The most realistic comments come from the young Malaysian boy. The uncle does not know that the medical expenses for the elderly (pioneer generation) are heavily subsidized by the govt ( approx 70-80% os the total bill). And the young can quite easily purchase HDB property using their CPF savings. They usually don't have to pay cash for their down payment. It is different if you are buying a private property. The most important considration is that you must work when you are young and have savings in both CPF and your own personal savings. Every country in the world is facing higher cost of living. If you are not prudent in your spending, a million dollars salary is not enough for you. Live within your means and you wil be ok.
