Especially since WD2 has a lot more freedom than GTA5 and you. Can complete missions in many different ways. One thing that I find interesting is how powerful cars are compared to GTA. A single brush with one can kill them, so if there are vehicles in the vicinity, you can use them to your advantage making it a lot more fun than just shooting and coming in or doing the same hacks over and over again. One area that you’d think is immune to it isn’t always so. For example in the observatory, there’s this crane. I just control it to crush all the enemies quite easily making one of the hardest missions a piece of cake. And the side parts are better than the main missions

I hoped Matto would give us lengthy commentary about the intro cutscene about corporations using our data, breaching privacy etc. The cutscene gives me chills even after years, because it's "scifi" in some senses but it happens in some other aspects, just not on the level like in Watchdogs yet.

I don't really understand what Matt's issue is with putting on subtitles in games. I suppose he may find them distracting (I don't know, I've never heard him talk about it), since he understands the dialogue as he's a native speaker, but it's a big convenience for the viewers, especially those whose native language isn't English. And I know for a fact that a large amount of viewers want subtitles, because in almost every single Chaos video, people in chat talk about it and Matto reads it out loud (and sometimes doesn't put them on even then), and subtitles in games are something that every single let's play youtuber has been doing for over a decade

I'm not sure why that is a thing, but, I guess, that's the reason why Matto doesn't like subtitles. @@Hasherrrr WD2. Most of the good features you see in WD2 were removed in Legion in favour of "play as anyone" mechanic. It would be easier to list the features that were carried over to Legion than the features that were removed. WD2 is fun to play unlike Legion. You can watch dogs and pet them in WD2. However, Legion is decent only if you get the Bloodline DLC, which is better than the actual game.
Of course you'll hate it because you are playing it like you play gta v not just because it's open world that means you go in gunz blazing it's based on hackers that means those hacks are essential to the gameplay
I always went in guns blazing. You mix it with hacks. Blow shit up, then wrap up with an MG. You can play it how you want. Aiden pierce or just a hacker

As a relatively big fan of wd2, i can say that the cyberdriver car initial steal is maybe the worst mission iirc and understand why people are turned off to the game due to it. Mainly due to being at the start, lack of knowledge of the map, lack of abilities to counter the helicopter. I really don't know what they were thinking to have it as one of the first you do.
The car is ridiculously OP though: it's fast, exceptionally durable especially against the helicopter's anti-material rifle, and has a unique aesthetic.
Really if people are just annoyed by the police chase.They dont deserve to play Gta also.Thats the most fun part.Of escaping police.Thats literilly what people do even on Gta.

It was not clear to me wether he just played it twice or two universes collided and I somehow ended up in a mixed timeline with two different outcomes of the same event

Yeah I had a hard time ditching the cops in the "Steal the Knight Rider Car" mission too. I didn't know the map at all and had no idea where to go. After the 3rd try, I figured out you gotta get well enough away from the cops to duck into a tunnel, like GTA. I had a serious DSP moment with this mission. "What the hell am I supposed to do, Ubisoft? You kidding me!?!?! 😂" Now I wanna look up his playthrough to see how bad he melted down 😂. Though he plays everything on easy....
Hey, this game on easy can still be difficult if you're out in the open with enemies shooting at you. Marcus is nowhere near as durable as Aiden and folds quickly under gunfire.

Personally, this game is the best in the series BY FAR. WD1 was too dark, both in the story itself and the location (though to be fair on the second point, it is set in Chicago). WD3 was way too overthought and complex to be any fun at all. This game is the perfect combination of a great light-hearted story and the best hacking mechanics of all three games. Yes, there are cringy parts of the story, but THEY WORK for the story being told. The setting is absolutely gorgeous as it is set in San Francisco. This has become one of my favorite games and I keep going back to it to enjoy the beautiful setting and get a chuckle from the story when I need a good chuckle.
Honestly some of the people I’m Mattos chat are so spoiled when it comes to the frame rate dropping the tiniest bit. As someone who survived playing gta online on a last gen console, the frame drops in this VOD aren’t even noticeable

MATT READ YOUR SCREEN. the movie car mission is SUPPOSED to be the intro into the booster upgrade and help you learn more about the driving. as for getting the car, again, it helps you learn how to drive to escape the cops. I fucking LOVE your content and have for years, but I love watchdogs 2 as well. it's a very unserious game. the characters are meant to seem unique and memorable for the game. Wrench is an anarchistic geek who likes to break shit. Josh has autism (canon) and is severely antisocial but smart as fuck, but often taken less serious and he uses that to his advantage. Horatio is the inside man for a lot of jobs, the one who gives you a heads up about what to expect during a job. Sitara is the face of Dedsec and links you to all the informants and she's just meant to be a leader of sorts, especially with how she's usually not joking around too much. also, I HIGHLY suggest not staying in nethack (Tab) for too long since it makes outlines of aoe hacks hard to see. also, use the hack screen to hack civies and enemies for different effects, mainly stealing money. also, sorry but this is WAY different than GTA 5. it becomes a lot more fun when you separate them after understanding it's an open world crime game with third person controls. you don't have to play any specific way, but brute force isn't always the best option.
@@LARTORIF342 WatchDogs 2 is infinitely better than the first. for one, the first ended up being the one i played second due to so many different issues when i tried playing it originally. for two, the only interesting part of Aiden's story is that he was in communication with DedSec and that Clara was as amazing as she was. for three, everything about the first was janky, especially the police scanner bullshit. i ended up quitting it several times because of how poorly designed it was (its common with ubisoft games) and honestly the only good thing it did for 2 was put the baseline for hacking in. but simple doesnt mean good, nor does complex. the system they had in 2 was perfect in my opinion. it made you actually play the game and explore rather than just sit there twiddling your thumbs waiting for the end of the game to be handed to you. another little thing, i dont remember if the first had money being handed to you after every mission but i personally didnt find an issue with 2's requirement to go around and get money from the world. it, again, emphasized the exploration aspects and actively rewarded you for being smart about how you handle things.

To this day the sky flickers on RTX 3000 and 4000 series and the only working fix is limiting your fps (the limit has to be pretty severe like 80-90 FPS), handicapping your hardware.

Not sure how to say it so I’ll just say it, it is a cringy mess, it tries too hard to be relatable and “hip”BUT it does have very satisfying mechanics, with a friend or 2 it can be an incredibly hilarious experience and that alone is worth playing, it’s a sandbox game, you can take on a lot missions pretty much however you like,there are a few shitty exceptions but the game can be played how you like, San Francisco is such a refreshing location it makes the whole game feel like a warm and safe summers day

Watch dogs 2 is shit compared to the first one the only thing that i enjoyed playing were the dlc the rest of it is pretty boring
@@LARTORIF342 WatchDogs 2 is infinitely better than the first. for one, the first ended up being the one i played second due to so many different issues when i tried playing it originally. for two, the only interesting part of Aiden's story is that he was in communication with DedSec and that Clara was as amazing as she was. for three, everything about the first was janky, especially the police scanner bullshit. i ended up quitting it several times because of how poorly designed it was (its common with ubisoft games) and honestly the only good thing it did for 2 was put the baseline for hacking in. but simple doesnt mean good, nor does complex. the system they had in 2 was perfect in my opinion. it made you actually play the game and explore rather than just sit there twiddling your thumbs waiting for the end of the game to be handed to you. another little thing, i dont remember if the first had money being handed to you after every mission but i personally didnt find an issue with 2's requirement to go around and get money from the world. it, again, emphasized the exploration aspects and actively rewarded you for being smart about how you handle things.
@@Edge0fEden lol so one the reasons watch dogs 2 is better is because in the first game you were not skilled enough to espace the "police scanner bullshit" in watch dogs 2 its even worse i had to escape for 20 minutes a gang that was chasing me even tho i did everything to escape them at the end it was just annoying as shit.You clearly didn't followed the story in the first one and looks like the only thing you were interested in was dedsec and you don't seem to understand that not all games are about dedsec watch dogs 2 is a cringefest in my opinion and not really enjoyable to play dedsec sure played a part in the first one but not a big one its about aiden pearce not dedsec chicago maybe you should replay the first one with that in mind.
To this day the sky flickers on RTX 3000 and 4000 series and the only working fix is limiting your fps (the limit has to be pretty severe like 80-90 FPS), handicapping your hardware.

@@baloneysoprano well it's DarkViperAU. If he plays a game that doesn't play exactly like GTA V it's garbage to him. And he basically speedruns games on the first playthrough without caring about the story and not doing any side missions and complains about controllers being bad when he's clearly bad at using them and whenever he makes a mistake and not pay attention to the instructions that the game gives him he blames the game and the developers.
If you really want to make someone believe your opinion then in today's society it's not possible. Also most of his criticism is not to be taken seriously, he mostly does it for comedic, so yeah don't take it too seriously. You're competent enough to justify your own opinion and someone else's criticism should not affect your own thinking towards a game or anything else. If you find his playthrough enjoyable then watch it or otherwise play it yourself. It's his opinion and all people have their own opinion, it's never right or wrong. Also he has enjoyed many games, he enjoyed WD1, every soul games, nine craft,noita,binding of Isaac, saints row, max Payne, LA noire, etc. So don't be too harsh on someone giving their opinion.

Not sure how to say it so I’ll just say it, it is a cringy mess, it tries too hard to be relatable and “hip”BUT it does have very satisfying mechanics, with a friend or 2 it can be an incredibly hilarious experience and that alone is worth playing, it’s a sandbox game, you can take on a lot missions pretty much however you like,there are a few shitty exceptions but the game can be played how you like, San Francisco is such a refreshing location it makes the whole game feel like a warm and safe summers day
