This is one of my favourite dance routines from Morecambe and Wise from 1983,and this is their last show from series 4,as well as their Christmas Show in the same year. They repeated the show again on the 3 July 1985 at 8:30 pm in the London area as far as I can remember, when I was at 18 years old,but sadly disappeared from our TV screens, but I hope they`ll show these completefrom series 4 again, especially on TH-cam,because this bring me back memories of me.
well good news network released the whole of morecambe and wise at Thames tv on dvd in 2021. bad news network went into liquidation recently so get it where you can when you can.
Tommy Cooper and Eric Morecambe did meet, ThatMartialArtist!!! I was at "Morecambe" the one man show with the magnificent Bob Goulding, in 2014, at The Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury, which was where Eric suffered his fatal heart attack, 30 years earlier. It was an amazing show that I saw, funny, the best night I had in a theatre. Crying my eyes out as Bob and a "little ern" puppet sang bring me sunshine.....and I got every word when the audience joined in!! But after the show Eric's daughter took part in a question and answer session, and one of the stories was Tommy Cooper coming to Sunday lunch, with he and Eric telling each other jokes, the other people at the table then watching them, as they slowly slid off their chairs laughing at the jokes they were telling each other!!! Who would not give their right arm to have been there that lunch time?
im such a big fan of them and just found this vid...so thanks! but question where can i get this version of this song? cause it sounds upbeat/funky dance....i tired itunes but got jazz versions
Were you one of the dancers? I remember this vividly on TV back in 1983 and for a good number of years afterwards was honing my little 'robot' routine...

Yeah, it's quite a historic piece of telly. Apart from the xmas special, this was the last ever episode of M&W. Very sad really.
i found the song but will u b uploading more classic morecambe & wise??
who does this version of the song
The first person who recorded this song is Fred Astaire and this song is written by Irving Berlin.
@@bpage4132That's not what they asked.
Because Eric Morcambe sadly died in 1984 :(
Back in the early to mid '80s, a guy billing himself as "Taco" did a similar version. Shouldn't be too hard to find...
Does anybody know if Morecambe and Wise ever met Tommy Cooper? I imagine it would be quite a moment.
There's photos if you google it. Eric's daughter told me Tommy came to her birthday party when she was a kid.
@dunkiep without sounding dumb why did they stop
Isn't that the set from Are You Being Served?
Sounds a bit off, but very nice all the same!
WTF?
