The artistry wand is essentially a mixing medium in a pen-style, & as an artist that uses those products regularly, particularly with Pat’s baked gelee & metallic formulas; I’m really excited to see it introduced. So user friendly !
I agree Jen X. I am just a makeup enthusiast and I purchased several mixing mediums and find that I never use them. This wand is great and very user-friendly. I'm surprised no one has made this type of product before - or maybe it does exist and I just don't know about it! Thanks for your comment, I think regular makeup users will find it helpful. 😊
I feel like the intensify wand is basically my Nyx glitter glue that I use with all my shimmers. I love the palette but I always wait for them to be 30 % off before picking anything up.. ty for the video
@@mus1quenonst0p Same. I use the nyx glitter glue almost every time I use shimmers because my lids are oily and quite hooded. The idea of a glue in a stick sounds pretty convenient. I hope a drugstore comes out with one soon!
The fourth special shade is a trio-chrome, so I think that's a fair trade. I'm always excited about a new Pat palette and this is no exception! I can't wait to use the intensifier for all her special shades! It's going to make a big difference!
I personally appreciate 5 finishes in a palette that only has 10 shades. Price aside. One multichrome, couple duochromes too. Love that! The inclusion of a mixing medium in a wand /pen style really is helpful with those metallic & baked gelee shades. Not having to pull out a mixing medium every time really encourages me to use my mothership palettes & other brands special formulas to their full advantage. I’m really happy to see it! I played with the artistry wand last night and immediately ordered another one. I like it much better than glitter glue. It feels weightless compared to glitter glues and it isn't sticky/gloppy/messy. I used it with the special shades from a couple other Motherships and quads, and also foils from other brands. I thought it did fine and I appreciate the convenience enough to overlook the price. It doesn't lift the shadow below it if you use it to layer toppers either.
I don't know why I bought it because I rarely use the ones I have and when am I going to wear purple glitter and the multichromes are fun to swatch but really don't look good on the eye. Oh well, one day I will learn. I almost managed to stay strong but caved to the fomo...
I would just blend my mat eyeshadows normally and then tap the artistry wand only on the top where I want the metallics - the color on top of the wand looks stunning!

I love how the purple eyeshadow looks when you applied it on top of the wand. Can you try it with another brand metallic eyeshadows to see if it will make a difference? :) I'm still in doubt about this palette. I think I might skip even though I'm very tempted. Thanks for the video, Michele! I haven't played with my palette yet, but I did try the wand on my hand with the special shadows and it really makes a big difference (as you experienced). I also like that the formula, it is very thin and user-friendly. I have several mixing mediums and never use them because they are a little cumbersome to use, at least for me, so I think I will get a lot of use with this wand with all different brands of sparkly shadows. I don't buy the Pat palettes because they lean warm, and I prefer neutral cools (and I missed the Subliminal 1, which would have been my dream 😭). I used to be a Pat McGrath collector, but took a big step back during the clumsy, frustrating, botched launch of Divine Rose I and her disappointing mascara. After that the stars in my eyes for this brand were extinguished. There isn't much I've felt was compelling enough to purchase since. This palette is no exception. The colors I would wear from this palette I already have. Plus I still hate eyeshadow in reds and pinks on pale skin. The coral shade is something I would never use. So this is a hard pass for me. Yes! Also the botched launch of the Star Wars collection. PML doesn’t respect its customers. And it’s frustrating that PM is untouchable no matter what.
I got the wand because on UK site the palette is sold for £120 and in a bundle with the wand for £105. The forth special shade is a multichrome ...and Venusian orchid is fantastic
Interesting, I don’t feel we necessarily need anymore matte shades. And pulling Astral Amethyst from the palette doesn’t make sense because that is the one shade the drives home the entire concept of this palette. Maybe instead of Blitz Sextreme, which IMO is so similar to VR Sextraterrestial we could have had the blue shade you mention? Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the palette!

This was the 4th of this palette applications I viewed today and I enjoyed yours the most, though I didn't like the amethyst with the other shades on you. U also did techniques that the others didn't use. Luv your polish-such a gorgeous, rich color!
This seems to be one of those palettes that looks much better on the eye than in the pan. It didn’t really grab me but it does look absolutely beautiful on your eyes. Think I’ll wait for a sale 😀xxx

I didn't order this palette since it looked, as Michele has now confirmed, very very similar to other palettes of PMs. While I do love that purple shade on the end, I am very happy that I did not spend so much on something that, as a whole, I would not reach for more than once...or that I could just replicate to an eerily exact likeness with other items of this brand that I already have. Watching. The wand seem to work on shimmers and not on mattes. I think I am passing on this palette but I will watch the videos on it. This huetopian palette reminds me of DRII and Celestial Divinity. I can combine those two and get similar hues except for the coral
This is the first PM mothership palette that I’m interested in picking up. The matte shades make it wearable for me. The brighter hues are right up my alley. I don’t have much lid space, so the foils and special shades are more corner or outer v highlight for me. The colours that will show up the most are the matte shades above my crease.
The Artistry wand was not meant to be used with matte shades or as a primer. It’s meant to grip metallics and glitters only. Just trying to help! Pats advice 😊
This seems more exciting than Divine Rose I and more wearable(for ME) then DR II. I would but this one over those two. As far as other Motherships, I’d probably buy Subluminal and/or Decadence.

It’s a mixing medium in a wand; so damn handy ! Not having to use my mixing medium every time I want to amplify multichrome or metallics or baked gelees is something I’ve wanted for decades.
I wish Pat McGrath would have created a palette different from her other palettes. This is so similar to Divine Rose II & Midnight Sun. The Coral is new, but am I going to spend $125 for coral? I typically use a glitter glue or a cream eyeshadow underneath my special shades. I have a purple blue in my Juvia’s Place Magic Mini palette. It is the shade Faso and it is my favorite shade in the palette.

That's who you are, first investigating instead of reading all the things Pat says, or other people, that is unique about you, and when the mattes turn out to be not that nice on your left eye, we saw a whole demonstration than that this Intensifeyes stuff if not for mattes, so another brilliant video Michele👏👏👏👏, and you made very nice looks with this palette!!!!!!👍🤩🤩🤩🤩 Love almost all her Mothership palettes, well i can't get palette nr. 5 working, that one makes me a bit nervous, but maybe better with the new Intensifeyes product! The shade u wouldn't normally go 4 is the only 1 I seem to be interested in lol. To each his own though. It just shows how we all love different things. It's a pretty palette but it just seems a little bit like we have seen this b4 from Pat Idk.
I loved this palette and PM has a way to get me to use certain colors that I normally wouldn’t like bright coral. I am thoroughly enjoying this Huetopian palette and there are many looks that I can create with it. As similar às it is to other Motherships, I find that it has given me different enough looks than the other palettes. However, I do hope that her future Mothership palettes could lean a bit cooler like Mothership I without the blue with some interesting dual and multichromes. Maybe, something with cooler purples and multichromes and neutral color shadows.
Omg. Bored to heck with the corals/coppers/warm orangey tones. Well the upside is it has help me save money over the last few years with nearly every palette launching having all of those tones.

Yes, in fact wetting the shadows , as they are a wet/dry baked Gelee formula amps them up considerably or using Pat’s mixing medium wand would help immensely.
I feel like everyone is a little “yeah… it’s nice” other than KinkySweat. No one seems blown away, but KinkySweat got it in PR. When you get something for free, the level of excitement is always amplified 😂
It was my understanding from the video that she purchased it. She doesn't always get PR with every launch and if she's uncertain if she will get it, she buys it to make sure. I think Alicia is very honest and wouldn't embellish a review just because it was PR. She's always admitted to being a very big PML fan and collector, even before she got PR.
Reminds me of the Wayne Goss Pearl Luxury palette in terms of the colour scheme and bridal feel. Pretty skin toned soft pinks. Would be interesting to swatch and compare against WG. This is not considering the special shades from PM or the celestial from WG.
I think it's obvious by a lot of people's reaction, or lack of, when reviewing this palette that it's clearly not going to be a favourite. This colour story has been done too many times in a row for us to appreciate it and the marketing was poorly executed. I would like to try out the wand though... Thanks for the review!

I have been wondering whether to get this pallet and am leaning towards getting it. Not interested in the stick...but dang, that bronze/coral color with the purple looks fantastic!
If PML made a quad with the two shades on the second and the two on the third row only (left to right) I'd buy it, but this is too much $$ for just 4 colors I'm interested in.
The replacement "special" shade is a really special trio chrome. Just thought I'd drop that in my comment 😊 I'm not particularly interested in this palette - I know, I'm shocked too!! Maybe it's because the shades seem very familiar, even the trio chrome, which reminds me of a Sydney Grace shade? This seems more exciting than Divine Rose I and more wearable(for ME) then DR II. I would but this one over those two. As far as other Motherships, I’d probably buy Subluminal and/or Decadence.
It's a gorgeous look though! And it looks vibrant without looking like too much.

It’s a mixing medium in a wand; so damn handy ! Not having to use my mixing medium every time I want to amplify multichrome or metallics or baked gelees is something I’ve wanted for decades.
I wish Pat McGrath would have created a palette different from her other palettes. This is so similar to Divine Rose II & Midnight Sun. The Coral is new, but am I going to spend $125 for coral? I typically use a glitter glue or a cream eyeshadow underneath my special shades. I have a purple blue in my Juvia’s Place Magic Mini palette. It is the shade Faso and it is my favorite shade in the palette.

Seems like there is a learning curve with the artistry wand. And I am like you , do it my way first then read the directions.
Some makeup companies are becoming too redundant…it’s like paying $125.00 for two really different shades!
I passed on this palette but I think I want to get that eye pen. I think it will be great with my other Pat palettes and the quads I have from a year or so ago that are all special shades. ❤️
Totally need to do the look then only use the wand before you lay down the topper shade
That's who you are, first investigating instead of reading all the things Pat says, or other people, that is unique about you, and when the mattes turn out to be not that nice on your left eye, we saw a whole demonstration than that this Intensifeyes stuff if not for mattes, so another brilliant video Michele👏👏👏👏, and you made very nice looks with this palette!!!!!!👍🤩🤩🤩🤩 Love almost all her Mothership palettes, well i can't get palette nr. 5 working, that one makes me a bit nervous, but maybe better with the new Intensifeyes product! The shade u wouldn't normally go 4 is the only 1 I seem to be interested in lol. To each his own though. It just shows how we all love different things. It's a pretty palette but it just seems a little bit like we have seen this b4 from Pat Idk.
I loved this palette and PM has a way to get me to use certain colors that I normally wouldn’t like bright coral. I am thoroughly enjoying this Huetopian palette and there are many looks that I can create with it. As similar às it is to other Motherships, I find that it has given me different enough looks than the other palettes. However, I do hope that her future Mothership palettes could lean a bit cooler like Mothership I without the blue with some interesting dual and multichromes. Maybe, something with cooler purples and multichromes and neutral color shadows.
Omg. Bored to heck with the corals/coppers/warm orangey tones. Well the upside is it has help me save money over the last few years with nearly every palette launching having all of those tones.

Yes, in fact wetting the shadows , as they are a wet/dry baked Gelee formula amps them up considerably or using Pat’s mixing medium wand would help immensely.

I feel like everyone is a little “yeah… it’s nice” other than KinkySweat. No one seems blown away, but KinkySweat got it in PR. When you get something for free, the level of excitement is always amplified 😂
It was my understanding from the video that she purchased it. She doesn't always get PR with every launch and if she's uncertain if she will get it, she buys it to make sure. I think Alicia is very honest and wouldn't embellish a review just because it was PR. She's always admitted to being a very big PML fan and collector, even before she got PR.
She received PR but she also purchased it. She even mentioned doing a giveaway for the one she purchased.

Reminds me of the Wayne Goss Pearl Luxury palette in terms of the colour scheme and bridal feel. Pretty skin toned soft pinks. Would be interesting to swatch and compare against WG. This is not considering the special shades from PM or the celestial from WG.

I think it's obvious by a lot of people's reaction, or lack of, when reviewing this palette that it's clearly not going to be a favourite. This colour story has been done too many times in a row for us to appreciate it and the marketing was poorly executed. I would like to try out the wand though... Thanks for the review!

I have been wondering whether to get this pallet and am leaning towards getting it. Not interested in the stick...but dang, that bronze/coral color with the purple looks fantastic!
If PML made a quad with the two shades on the second and the two on the third row only (left to right) I'd buy it, but this is too much $$ for just 4 colors I'm interested in.
The replacement "special" shade is a really special trio chrome. Just thought I'd drop that in my comment 😊

Maybe it's because the shades seem very familiar, even the trio chrome, which reminds me of a Sydney Grace shade?

This release passed me by - thank you for this swatch and demo. I have a frisson of excitement (ooh, new PMG!!) with a lot of yawn (the SAME colour story again... sort of...). I'm sure I'll get it at some point thanks to beauty OCD 😂
Having just watched two videos on the new Huda Beauty Wild palettes, I must say the look you have created is very similar to that of the Cameleon palette.
Pat needs an all multi chrome palette!
