This one trade setup is good enough to base an entire career on. Seriously, you can play this a number of ways in regards to your entry, exit and trade management. for me is one or my personal favorites...low risk, low stress and high reward potential. Watch this video a few times and learn everything is it has to offer. Also, what Steve said at the end of the video is true, it takes time to learn how to trade, that’s because the average professional in any field, normally has several thousand hours of experience before they can do what they do at an expert level. So, start small and increase you size gradually as your experience level improves.

This video has same problem that a lot of trading videos on TH-cam have, specifically that the chart labels aren't readable at all, which makes this too much of a chore to seriously analyze, for example in 8:55. What is this even a chart of? Certainly not the first 3 days, if the price moves left to right but the volume bars are only in the middle part. This is very confusing.
@@laeconomistablockchain8177 Great. I was trading very small back then, just becoming profitable. $20-$60 days small. Im now able to do $200-$600 days. Biggest red day of year is $230 i believe.

So do these guys only trade their playbooks to make them "7 Figure Traders?" So is their winning percentage very high- >60%? Or are they looking for high Reward/ Risk Ratio 5-10x per trade? (He mentioned risking 1 point for 5 points) Absolute P/L doesn't really matter without knowing what the other stats are (or starting capital for cash on cash return). [Appreciate these videos, but a real disservice to SMB to dangle the cheap "7 Figure Trader" like it's the Home Shopping Network ;)]
+SMB Capital 👀 Share some of the same questions but w/out the somewhat harsh, _"disservice....dangle....HSN"_ assertions. Would be good to see other "hot" stocks traded/trading (besides "book") as well as 😱 FUTS 😱(anybody at SMB trading these? /CL, /ES, QQQ's, etc). Would be exciting to see/hear SMB's take on FUTS in future videos. (or did we miss them already, yrs previously?) @SMB Capital 👀
This is all basically an advertisement to attract students to the SMB course so they can find talented traders to hire. These guys become 7 figure traders because their risk managers bump up their clip size as they prove themselves. Becoming a 7 figure trader without a prop firm backing you is an entirely different ballgame altogether, no one is arguing that haha. But when you trade for a prop firm your win rate and specific trading stats don't really matter to anyone else besides the guys who determine your account size, so I'm not surprised they don't focus on that info in these videos. If you work for a firm and you're making money without losing much money then all that stands between you and a 7 figure account is discipline and consistency regardless of your win rate and all that stuff. Plus all the smb traders trade differently so nitpicking performance stats is probably just going to confuse new traders. They prefer to show you their process more than crunch their numbers. I'm only saying all this because I had the same questions for ages but I thought it through and realised that these guys are playing an entirely different game to retail traders in terms of variables they work with. They can afford to focus on $ return instead of % return because unlike retail traders they basically have a near-unlimited well of capital to draw from as a firm with access to leverage and pooled profits (at least compared to retail traders lol). That being said, I'm sure all the 7 figure traders at SMB focus heavily on their win rate and risk % in their personal processes. But a 7 figure trader saying they made 5% on a trade isn't as exciting as saying they made $50,000 haha. That doesn't attract viewers nearly as much when 5% to a retail trader sounds boring. Just my two cents as a retail trader who shares your feelings!
@@TheArtOfTrading Thanks for your thoughts, and agree with most of them. There are really only a few variables that can be controlled in trading. Number of trades, amount of risk vs reward, and the whole discipline of following some sort of game plan. (If none of that matters, then it's just luck). Even if you look at the turtle traders, they were given pretty specific guidelines to follow in terms of risk management, and how much they can put into one market or direction etc. Perhaps I'm more of a technocrat, but a trader who doesn't know his stats is just not that good- just lucky if he makes it.
2nd time watching this after a year and the questions and reasoning are actually making sense to me after learning more about the levels and zones mentioned.
We actually don’t bring in capital from outside. The firm hires traders to trade its capital. Better for our traders because they aren’t risking their own money but also means we are more selective in who we hire, we love to see a solid track record for traders before they come in
thanks! We offer a SMB Scanner that allows you to sort stocks that will be in play for the day. Typically you want to look for stocks that are trading higher relative volume from their averages. Those are likely to be most in-play. Also these IPOs are great to watch over the first few weeks of trading. Even some of the less well known ones will provide great trading like the JMIA trade Aaron discussed.
Thank you Steve, do you happen to have any swing traders with holding times from days to months you could interview? Currently not possible to day trade with schedule, but swinging very well might work. Thank you.
Swing reading is just a "buy & hope" strategy. Especially if you still got a dayjob. Cut the bullcrap and start taking day trading very seriously. You only need 30 mins a day, roughly 9:15AM-9:45AM to make a few hundred bucks (or thousands if you use big positions) in under 30 mins a day. After a month of consistent profits, you can resign from the dayjob and expand your frontiers in all areas of life, including trading That's what I've done Good luck
