When Raven came down to Earth from Space after modifying the rocket and she saw Finn in love with Clark it obviously hurt her. Raven stayed with Finn because she had a strong feeling he would stay with her but in the end he chose Clark. She was so heartbroken and betrayed after loving him for years especially since he was her first love she was desperate to feel anything besides heartbreak and anger. So this is why Raven turns to Bellamy. She's not interested in him at all romantically or sexually but thinks that "maybe if I hook up with Bellamy I'll feel something besides pain" and so she does. In the end when Bellamy asks her "did it work" and she says "no" of course it doesn't work!!! Raven loved Finn not Bellamy and a person you don't feel ANYTHING for can't replace the feeling of emptiness when you're heartbroken. I know this is super simple but I love analyzing scenes in the show because of the realness it eminates!
