What’s remarkable about this is that the first voice, makes it sound like he is a seasoned old man. He was 26! A kid. Leading men like James Bowie, and David Crockett. Astonishing to think about the kind of man that would take, and honestly what he would be like in todays society.
It makes me want to defend Texas and waiting for the Governor to give the Word to Protect the Border and Defend the Alamo. Victory or Death save the Republic of Texas

They received the information on the SAME day of the battle. Hence, it's credible. "...Travis had shot himself or stabbed himself..." Since Col. Navarro wrote of Travis and his head wound, Travis must have shot himself.
