It’s actually explained as when people made the game they didn’t know that the code made the sonic characters alive. When he made them creepy and stuff sonic, tails, ray, and eggman maybie were suffering from it. So they hacked the code to make it say how they were suffering but were at the same time. But it’s pretty much just a theory.
