Idk if you read comments but I just gotta say, I know nothing about ark but I have 1.5k hours roughly in it, I always just liked playing it but since aberration came out I have been struggling to know how to progress or even where things are and this video is about to be my savior bc since aberration came out I’ve put 20 hours into it and have gotten no where
Im on day 30 right now, but just wanted to say, the big bird is a gigantoraptor it allows you to reset baby imprint items AND locate wild babies and tame them instantly.
@bartekpotakiewicz Yeah, you put the egg in the gigaraptors inventory, click on the egg, and a button appears under the gigas stats that puts the egg in the basket.
how do you tame it though? i had my friends distract the mother while i hid in the nest but the baby would never start the taming game with me, was wearing a gillie suit too
@thatonerussianguy3202 you need to drop eggs on the ground and let it eat them. Okay so, step by step: -You put on ghilie and drink bug repellant (I don't know if it's necessary, just seen other people do that) -than you drop a fertilized egg nearby (you have to see what eggs to use, since I don't know. -and after that you hide in the nest, and do the mini game And that's it, I recommend looking up a let's play of someone that did it in survival and not creative.
About the drops. If you don´t have the surface rendered in when they come down they won´t have beams. However they do exist. You just have to look for them without beams and when they despawn you should see beams for the new drops.
38:03 Not a glitch, plant z seeds are their kibble just like with the lightpets, and they'll also take ascerbic mushrooms (the torpor ones). You need chitin in your inventory to be able to initiate the tame yeah, but in terms of effectiveness it's basically like feeding a carnivore raw meat or a lightpet any mushrooms other than the kind they prefer.
Loved this video so much. Have been watching it over the course of 2 weeks 20 minutes at a time with dinner. Best food eating view ever haha was lowkey heartbroken at the end gonna be very real lol. So glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like Yi-Ling and don't understand how they even won. That chimeraraca thing that was like a black scorpion-spider was the coolest by far and something that would fit ABB. Really dumb that a bunch of seven year olds voted for Yi-Ling cuz it was the coolest when we already have a much bigger, less annoying, and controlled in one area whereas Yi-Lings can be the death of you even with a full on reaper queen since they do percentage based damage. And they're a huge threat as wild creatures, but once tamed, they kind of suck other than for taming. In my opinion, they can tame creatures much easier especially when you need slaughter creatures like parasaurs and ravagers. I feel like another giant boss creature like that chimera spider-scorpion would fit so much better in the depths of the blue zone and maybe it only spawned in like areas near walls or something. Yi-Lings in green zone and this numerous is so troublesome. Petition to add that Chimera creature to ark for Genesis --->

I fucking hate the yi ling from the bottom of my heart. I’m happy it won because we needed an early game glider on abb, but the spawn rates on that thing are way too high, and their attacks are super annoying to a point where you can’t do anything about it because you can’t reach them.

Just so you know the gigaraptor is an amazing early game tame and is great for taming/ breeding. I got my first rock drake with Cosmo and then used the gigaraptor for incubation. It saves you on the 12 air-conditioners lol. It can really save you some time
If you look at the time of day when you tamed the first megalo, I bet what happened was it turned to technically "night" and they automatically wake up at night.
I have got to say as a new ark player this map is the most stressful yet fun, extremely aggressive dinos literally around every corner😂😂😂 getting the raw "ark" experience especially with pvp bro I've never been so conflicted in my life
So the reason there was no drops is because the drops's light beams were invisible. They spawn before you can enter the surface and the sun makes their light beam invisible tho the drops are there you just have to find them. After that when they respawn while at night you will see the light beam like normal at the new drops. but this resets every day cycle for some reason
I wish this were true & it may be for some but mine will not show up at all. I've checked my settings global illumination you name it. Still doesn't show.

if you have everything in bulk and need hard poly, you can just craft some poly-intensive strutures and demolish them to get hard version(in ASE at least)
I thought I had the same problem with the surface, but you first load in the drops they don’t have the beacon, you have to wait until the old ones go away to find some with beacons
I could be wrong, but I think you need to wait a while in render for drops to spawn on the surface sometimes. They have some visual bugs going on sometimes too. Also cave drops are a lot better in ASA. They are also worth farming. Especially the Elemental Vault. I’m kinda surprised that you use the Gene Scanner’s search function more. Either way, great video as a,ways and now I’m excited for Extinction! Also, Yi Lings.
You should really bring down your damage on resources, can’t Romberg what the stat is called, but it just makes it so you can hit the tree, or rock more. It’s a huge quality of life improvement. There is a setting for both players and Dino’s, so it isn’t broken

For most yes, but for me no matter what they never show. I've tried all of the diff settings etc. Nothing
A simple fix, reload your graphics, fixes the beam issue for me.

@@hollz137 you could try going to the surface then relogging. If youre in singleplayer all the drops respawn if you do
