Dad gave me his to drive in High School 76-77. It was this color but he painted it Candy Apple Red with white wheels covers. Fun days driving it. 3 on a tree and a CB radio. Wish I had it now for my son...
Your 59 is beautiful. I own 59 F-100 I swapped a stroked 351 Windsor with a AOD transmission in my truck. 393 comp cam ported Windsor senior heads Edelbrock intake & carburetor, headers, dual exhaust. Original 9 inch with 456 gear. It's hard to keep rear tires on it. I love old Fords forever. Thank you for sharing your truck.
That's a nice truck. My dad bought a 1960 F100 in about 1970. It had the 223 6 cylinder, 3 on the tree. Old trucks like this in original condition are getting hard to find.
I was hoping for a start up and some tire slippage. Did it come with power steering as stock? I am currently on my way back to Ohio and riding through Colorado on I 70. What beautiful scenery. I was in the hammer lane when I saw the exit for Red Rock. I almost decided to turn around and check it out but didn't. I want to come back out sometime and see it and also ride the million dollar hwy
It’s actually manual steering. I’m just so used to it now that it looks easy 😂. Let me know next time you’re in Colorado and I will take you around. Red rocks is essentially in my backyard. Million dollar highway is on my bucket list as well.
Hey brother that sounds like a good plan. You can be my personal tour guide 😂 I just got home from my death valley trip. 5600 miles. Checking my mail and I got the joker shift peg. I will put it on tomorrow after I clean my bike up. Thanks again bro
Definitely a nice truck. There's been some changes under the hood though. That radiator is out of a car, truck radiators have a center inlet, and a thermostat housing that points to the center, rather than at an angle, as this one does. This motor could be out of a car. And is that a 2barrel or 4barrel on there?
I'd like to find a good 292 or 312 for my '54 a239 KS a good motor but they don't under any parts hardly with #72,#92,or312's as you said not a performer good tho if you maintain ghem! nice truck and I like the color.
@@thebikeofeli For me, I suspect I will end up putting in IFS. It's going to be doing lots of highway miles when it's built. Mine is a 60. In fact my very 1st vehicle purchased at 15 from my Pa. I still got him too... He's 90 now. I always wanted a big back window. Found one at Desert Valley Auto Parts in Arizona. It even has the rear glass. I'm retired now and am slowly gettin' er done. I put in power disc all around and power steering from CPP.
Thanks for taking the time to share this beautiful ride with us
I appreciate you taking the time to watch it!

Did you end up selling it?
Awesome truck. Love the color
Thank you!

That’s exactly what I want to put in this!
It's called Willow green. I built my dad a '57 F100 in this color with a 312 from a T-Bird in it. I like the Y's.
Nice build you have there!
Thanks so much!

They definitely are. I’m posting it for sale soon if you know anyone that’s interested.
Those are the third generation Ford F-series pickups & they were produced from 1957 through 1960.

My pleasure!
Thanks so much for sharing, Beautiful truck. Where did you get the single leafs Bud?
Thanks! I’m honestly not sure where the single leafs came from. Rides like it’s on cinder blocks, but looks good 😂
@@thebikeofeli Yeah... I've heard those aren't a great solution... Any bump steer?
@@kellyklingbeil5802 nope, it tracks down the road pretty well thankfully. Original steering box, but it’s getting worn out.

Believe it or not I much rather have that truck than the Chevy you passed
Me too! 😂
I'm here for the Harley Davidsons and giveaways (😮) mostly but I was curious about the truck story.
I figured a few people were interested in it. There’s been a few comments.
Nice truck!!! The hood is a 60, but the side emblem is a ‘59…
Late model 59. 60 hood from the factory.
Manual steering and brakes

April Green color
I think the actual color is a “sea green”
@@thebikeofeli Ford's 1959 factory green color's were April Green and Meadow green. This has to be April Green.
@jaketimer7440 it’s not. I looked up the paint code and it’s sea green
