Part of the issue is that cameras pick up on color, light, and shadows in different ways than the human eye. People do not look the same through a screen as they do in real life. Makeup can compensate for this, but a lot of these videos are of people with no makeup on.
As a result, anyone who isn’t wearing makeup on camera is going to look older than they actually do in real life.

  • @marinacroy1338

Here's a little essay cause im really passionate about anti-aging I feel like things anyone can do to age gracefully are
    - avoid sun/ wear sun protection
    - work out and stay in good shape
    - avoid abusing substances like cigs and alcohol
This wont stop you from eventually developing wrinkles or hitting menopause or just aging in general, but it will help postpone and lessen the side effects of those things.
Now there are plenty of OTHER things you can do to stay looking young, but alot of them are hit-or-miss,
    - going on NADs (mixed reviews, some people say theyre the fountain of life, others think theyre dangerous)
    - Get hair treatments, whether its going on hormones to rebuild hairlines for men, or coloring your hair for women.
    - avoiding stress
    - taking supplements like collagen, biotin, rosemary oil etc
    - getting cosmetic work done, usually things like facelifts, liposuction, and botox
Overall, as someone who is admittedly vain and has probably dedicated way too much mental energy to aging, ive already decided the biggest thing for me is going to be managing expectations and taking care of my body. I figure when im 60, post-menopause, probably post kids, i wont have the same body as I do as a 24 year old, and expecting that is dumb. I hope that I'll still be in decent shape just so that I can take care of myself and have good mobility, so im not a burden on my family.

Botox is a type of neurotoxin, it has usage to treat many medical problems of course like myokymia or even hyperhidrosis, but using it to look younger doesnt work unless you are actually older and have lost skin elasticity. If you are young and have healthy skin without wrinkles or loose skin you will look older. Especially after the botox has stopped its lifting effect and it will actually make your skin more loose.

First of all, whoever said 36 was probably trying to be nice. Her voice sounds like a young person but voice is not looks.
Secondly, who gets this offended from hearing they look 36, when they're 29? That's not a massive difference.
Especially when she clearly doesn't bother much to take care of her body, she doesn't look that fit or healthy for a 29-year old.
Her hair texture is pretty dull, if she knows she has gray hair she must know that makes her look older than she is and you *can* dye your hair. Even her glasses and hairstyle are what old people who (I'm sorry) don't really care about their looks anymore wear.
So, how can she be offended that someone thought she looked (only) 7 years older than she is? My genuine guess was 45-55 before she started talking.

There are people in their early 20s that look older than me. I put sunscreen on every day, not because I want to look younger, but because I don't want cancer. I'm literally the only one who uses sunscreen out of the whole crew. Some of the older men actually brag about their cancers (it's weird). 36 is not old! Geez, I remember being 36 and I didn't feel old. I had two young boys at that point and had been married since I was 23. I didn't start feeling old until my late 40's when I noticed if I didn't get enough sleep I'd fall asleep almost anywhere, lol. By not getting enough sleep I mean getting like 3 hours of sleep or less the night before or a couple days of 5 or less hours sleep. Now I am old and feel it, but I'm almost 60.
My parents were way less old in their 60's, they probably had less processed foods, slept better, did more exercise etc through their life though. I feel almost as old as my parents act lately in their 80's. I need to eat better and I just wish I could sleep 7 - 8 hours a night in a row.

The reason people feel old is because theyre turning 36 and don't have any of those things you're talking about. It gives you anxiety to be in your late 20s into 30s and still not have a house or kids. It makes you feel like you're not where you're supposed to be and as a result you feel like time is running ahead of you.

    • @Geekabibble
      @Geekabibble 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@@myusernamewasinuse Don't let that stuff make you feel old. Not everyone has kids nor buys a house. I know a ton of people from my generation who never had kids. Many thought they would and it either didn't work out or they changed their mind. Also know many who have never owned a home, or had one and then later decided to rent instead. If you compare yourself to others or what you think you should be doing at a certain age, that just leads to depression and anxiety. I think the worst part of society today is that the uber rich who run things keep making it harder for the middle and lower classes to just survive. It's pretty sick that we have billionaires and still have people who can't afford healthcare, rent, food etc ...basic needs in the US and other countries. Instead of the few having so much, it would be better for the world if the rich were less rich and everyone could afford healthcare and basic needs.

I also played a lot of playstation 1, I loved Crash Bash.
I played outside until maybe 7? (2006) at which point I slowly withdrew cause I found games more interesting that playing with friends outside.
I grew up on the "original" internet too, started with things like AOL and windows messenger, remember having to pay to top the internet up, having 1 main computer in the house.
My first phone was a push-up sony ericson.
I'd have to help with chores to convince my mum I wanted a new game.
By comparison, most of my Gen Z friends: Their mothers are in their 40s, they're either the eldest or have a sibling 2 years older.
Their first games consoles were the xbow 360 or PS3/4. They started out on the DS Lite with Pokemon Black or White being their first Pokemon.
Some say they HAVE played outside, but mostly were indoors on the pc, or even if going out were on their phones. On my commute to the gym you see so many teens just staring at their phones and being online with such ease, in "my time" that was a commodity, now it's a requirement else they'll be bullied.
Some of my Gen Z friends have a hotmail, but most are just outright gmail. I had the ones above, hotmail, and I have switched to gmail cause it's simpler and has instant sign in etc.
They grew up with unlimited internet data plans, and phones/pc's to use for the internet.
Their first phones would have been a samsung or iphone (touch screen).
I remember back in the day having to specify if you had a touch screen phone, it wasn't a "thing". Now it's the standard lol
Now they're given whatever they want when they want it, no chores needed, no trade off.
I also look my age, I'd look younger if I shaved my beard, I just look better with one lol
The reason I mentioned classifying as a millenial as Asmon said his experiencesd would be different to 25.
I think someone just turning 25 this year, MAYBE 24 is the HARD CUT OFF POINT for "Og internet users".
Like, friends a year younger than me can share an experience or two at least, 2 years younger? It's alien to them... lol

The woman around the 8:30 mark, it’s not the grey hair, her grey hair is barely noticeable with her dirty blonde. It is the glasses and her fine lines around her mouth to the point she’s developing jowls, those are both aging her. Her glasses are the same type of glasses I see elderly women at the old people’s home wear and they don’t do her justice by centering the focus around the nose and mouth due to the very large size and shape. The extra large glasses tend to look better on those diverting attention from aging in the eyes rather than the mouth and they tend to look better on those with smaller noses. She needs frames that bring the attention to her eyes and not extend all the way down to her creases around her mouth.

I think most of the face age look is just genetics. I am 38 but often mistaken for my early 20s, even people I've worked with for years said they just assumed I was 24. I used to do a ton of hard drugs in my younger years and was a straight up hardcore drug addict for a few of them. But I spent a ton of my teenage years avoiding the sun (playing video games), and due to my fair skin I always wore sunscreen or I would get absolutely blasted. Style/hair also definitely plays a huge part is someone's perceived age, I think the most realistic way to try judging how old people are from first glance is if everyone is wearing the same outfit. For example, everyone wearing the same work uniform kinda takes that out of the equation as being a factor in your head. But on the same note, I see young people all the time wearing like old school 80s throwback type clothing styles and they certainly still look super young to me. Hair and beard in men especially plays a huge role.
