That "one life, live it" sticker, isn't just what saddos put on their Land Rover, its also the secret to its great off road capability. The sticker, is what gives it its power which is why you can't remove it. If you compare a Discovery off road, the one with the sticker will always do better. That's a fact! Cracking review. As bad as the Disco 1's are for leaking and rotting, I think I'd still rather a Disco 1 to a Freelander 1.
You are so so so funny. Could you please do funny review on a MK2 vauxhall combo in white if possible which I own and I always cross my fingers hoping it will start. Vauxhall combo from 2003/2011. Nice one.
I think the ‘ONE LIFE, LIVE IT’ slogan is only understood when you’ve owned one. And on that day when it finally breaks you and itself for one last time, THEN it’ll make sense. It basically means, ‘I AIN’T GOT FUKCING TIME FOR THIS’ 😂 Great video 👏👏👏👏
Another brilliant review! I remember our neighbour farmer bought one of the very first Discoverys in the early 90s. I drove it a couple of times. No power and everything soft and wallowing! It was a disaster mechanically from brand new. After only about a year you could hear him coming from the suspension creaking. Crazy thing is though he kept buying new ones for years, and still has one now. People just have these to look the part, the amount of money he’s wasted on Land Rover crap doesn’t bear thinking about!
I love how it's always third parties reporting about LR ownership. "My neighbour owned one..." Or a friend, cousin, relative, etc. Any actual Land Cruiser owner spends as much, if not more, maintaining the old cruisers. The major advantage I see with cruisers is that they still function when broken down. Not that they don't break down.
I have a '96 D1 I must have shit for brains - a '99 D1 sold recently on bringatrailer auction site - a one owner that had over $70,000 in repair receipts
I will make you a $5 CAD money transfer Tommy, if you film yourself climbing up then back down that ladder, and re-edit this video. It's a F***ing promise.
That's Discovery is nasty, rotten, and shows the owners mental and physical situation. Nothing like mine, 287000 miles and looks nice and clean. Just some TLC and good maintenance does it. 👊🏻💥🇲🇽
Wow those look horrible, my mom's is pristine compared to that. She loves with us, so i sometimes drive the old thing when I need to transport bigger items than my car can handle. then again, she is in her 70s and takes the thing to landrover every few months for something or the other...

Yes they are a total pile of excitement.
You are absolutely bang on point 😁👍
You have a talent for these reviews mate. Forget car buyers magazine you are the man.
I particularly like how you capture the bleakness of the UK in winter.
I haven't rolled mine in 17 years.
Never had a Discovery struggle to start like that, what chip fat are you using in it?
Great car review, The lads in the workshop watch you vid's on there Break. Please keep them coming.....
That fish supper looked mint though. You should do more “misunderstood” car and town reviews.
@tommysautos, question is would you rather have another d1 or an inbred l200 ?
Also when are you going to review a mk1 or mk1.5 ford ranger?

If you compare it to a road car then yes, wallow and slow. But they don't slow down much more when loaded and the ride is unbeatable off road

Sure thing, agreed - but then again the truth always lies somewhere in the middle ...
Agreed, I don't think he can afford the purchase price of a poor one let alone bare maintenance.
Oh and I also have a one life live it sticker 😂😂😂😂
brilliant video but a totally useless car don't tow with this more power in my ride on lawnmower
I laughed my ass off!😂
F*****g ace video!

A 1950s double decker bus has more power than this Land Rover Discovery 2.5 TDi.
The old seddon Atkinson
One life live it. Ha ha
😂😂
I don’t want a Land Cruiser
Absolute rot boxes.
