Bit of advice, that blue energy mode really isn’t worth doing. It’s like a gimped Hyper mode from Budokai 3 but you can’t Dragon Rush in this game, and you don’t need Hyper mode to do Ultimates in this game, so it’s just a Ki burn. Take full advantage of the computer using that mode and then punish them when they drain their Ki since they can’t teleport. If you’re a savage you can even try taunting them while they’re in this state, a successful taunt robs them of one bar of Ki, so you can drain them out of this state faster. Also remember you can get a free guard break with transformations up close. You can open with Goku’s Kaioken and guardbreak for a free combo, or pressure opponents into teleporting and then counter their teleport to regain momentum. Commentary is A1 as always lol

It’s been a while since I played, I want to say you can cancel Aura Burn but if you can’t, you might eat a highly damaging punish at the end of it. Even if you can it still seems a bit too risky imo
Its so wholesome how supportive of Doto is. Like he LITERALLY IS the one playing but he is acting like Goku's hype man. "Nice teleport, Goku!" "Whoaaa what a dodge!" He even supports the enemy: "He's soo good at the game" "Woah, look at that combo!" (says it in a different video) Doto sees the world through the lens of a kid. Good or bad, Doto is just glad to be included. Its soo beautiful.

I remember finishing the story mode when I was around 10 during summer vacation, and I've had way more difficulty with the mini-game sections (like catching Cell with Piccolo) than the actual fights. I'm not sure how I managed to beat some of the games I finished as a kid, because some of them (like the Budokai series) seem harder as an adult. Maybe my skills just decayed lol.

the dragon radar tells you where the blue points and dragon balls are on those open world sections. You can also charge your ki so you dont have to collect potions. you can also side step which is pretty fast too

I played this game every day with my brother and the common strategy that we had was always have atleast 3 bars of Ki so we can teleport. This is such a underrated gem of a game. Budokai 3 was great but for people who don’t like dragon rush, this is the peak of ps2 DBZ.
Wooo, childhood memories returning with Infinite World. Particulary how hard it was the first copy that I got, it was in japanese. Btw Doto, a piece or two of advice: -try searching the rest of the buttons when you do the searching rings missions (the are a few more), there are one that shows you a map and another that charges your ki for boosts. Plus with the map, it shows where the Dragon Balls are. -go to the shop with the zeni you get, there's the edit skill before a fight so you could, say, go SSJ4 or 3 when fighting Frieza or Cell. -there's a Special block that you use when pressing 'guard' (X maybe) and the 'charging Ki' one. It consumes bar but useful for blocking hits and SOME supers. -there are 2 grab commands when fighting, the ki blast one is 'guard' and 'ki blast'.
Doto you can improve skills and items that can get you more health bars in the store, and you can play other parts of the story like with the Saibaman after beating the story mode with Goku, also you can charge your ki on the checkpoint mini games.
Love the era where games were actually hard and this game still holds up . Old game but the mechanics were not only abundant but amazing . Truly a game were knowing all the controls is the way to victory

Omega Shenron was just too hard to beat with Goku. It took me hours to beat. But then with Gogeta it was easy peasy. Everything about this game was and still is amazing. Man I remember the beams being kinda weak in this game. Getting maybe 200 damage was fine, but the real damage was in getting those super dashes and vanishes into those basic combos!

This game has you play as only Goku from I believe all of the main Z storyline, then once you “beat the game” you then get access to do the story that involved other characters.

Old dbz games had so much more charm than the new ones. Not saying the new ones are bad, but they don’t have the same feel as the older ones. That goes for other games too, not just dragon ball.
Compared to the new ones, the only game that can even have an inkling of competition would be xenoverse. Bodukai 1-3, Raging Blast 1-2, Infinite World, Bodukai Tenkaichi 1-3... the line up was UNDEFEATED.
I absolutely love this game. I suggest learning how to perform guard cancel for combos here, opens up a lot of possibilities for stylish stuff (and tons of damage)

The AI ain't programmed to run when you activate it, so they will try and fight you in it, and since you have armor it's pretty worth
