Which, in that time, she didn't own any of her firsts 6 albums (debut to reputation) and there was a chance she couldn't sing the songs from any of that albums because of Scooter... and the hourglass for me is she saying: I will own my music and it's just a matter of time, baby...

It was sold 2x, 1st by Big Machine, Then by 🛴 to the company that owns them now I believe. She looks so innocent because she was a child when she signed with Big M, and is in a fantasy world, aka OZ, which isn't real, not the real Taylor. Just my take on it after 3 watches.
The painting at the start has the long pond studio on it, and the pearl necklace that she wears when lying on olivia has 13 visible pearls, the attention to detail is incredible

I think the lightbulb flickering represents how at the beginning of her career she might have had perceived herself of having a shaky legacy“Ask me why so many fade but i’m still here”. And after that the other lightbulbs light up and then explode. This could represent her legacy and level of fame that over got so big and so powerful it caused the lightbulbs to explode.
The Lightbulbs are incandescent not LED. Incandescent bulbs give off a warmer, more natural light than LED which are often more of a blue wave.
Lightbulbs (incandescent) explode if the overheat, or have too high wattage run through them.
No clue if that connects anything lol. The details are so well planned, it is amazing to pull that off, time and again.

A few more! There are five birds in the gondola scene (5 = 1989).
The nails definitely represent 1989 and Reputation. If you do an eras manucure starting with the left pinkie, blue is on the left thumb (1989) and black is on the right thumb (Rep). The coffee cup with the clock is between the blue and black nails like the rumoured shelved album Karma would have been between 1989 and Rep. So the coffee clock striking midnight at the end could mean that it's time for Karma to be released, or that Midnights includes re-worked Karma recordings, or that we will get 1989 and Reputation TS version at the same time.

The lightbulb scene felt very out of place in this video, purposefully. Three things came to mind.
1) Its very reminiscent of LWYMMD music video maybe Karma is finally breaking out of the golden cage and we will be getting Karma as an Album
2) The glass box in Ready For It music video.
3) Like the cake with the equal sign she might have another “ft”with Ed Sheeran’s Subtract album.
I think it was referencing her evermore album "incandescent glow", since someone said that every scene resembles her albums.
The first record scene is debut. Hourglass one is Speak Now, since it's gonna be out really soon, the devil one is reputation, the ice spice seashell one is maybe red, the boat one is lover, the midnight sky with stars is midnight, the mountain Taylor might be folklore also the moon and the Saturn.
Edit: the dorothy wizard of oz scene represents dorothy, not the first blue record with butterflies one.

I have a theory on the Lightbulbs:
So Taylor has always spoken about how her songs have come from her having "lightbulb moments" of ideas, the creative sparks and this motif with the line of "I'm still here" is further cementing that her superpower of writing her own songs is what has kept her relevant and she's still here and we still love her. She's mentioning that it's because her songs are from the lightbulb ideas she gets, her legacy will continue till the sparks last... Until one day she's eventually out of it. Even more important since her writing her songs is the reason why she was able to re record her songs!!!❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
A live-action Moana movie was recently announced. I wonder if the Te Fiti reference means that she either has a role in the movie or if she is creating music for the soundtrack???

I was perplexed by the clock not being at Midnight, so I went to re-watch Bejeweled MV (where the watch is at Midnights when exile end, then the clock either 3:15 am or 00:15 am). What I saw then is that, in the elevator, she presses the 3rd floor (Speak Now), goes out where the diamonds fall on her dress, and then, she goes back and the arrow points at 5th floor, so 1989. Basically, she says "Speak Now, a little time, then 1989"... And it's quite confirmed with the color palette and everything you spotted!
I thought the hourglass could be the countdown to Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). The scene that looks like the Wizard of Oz on one side and dark on the other looked to be a reference to 1989’s wonderland and then reputation.

She is dressed like a 50’s or 60’s housewife with that dress and pearls. If you like old films and TV shows, she looks like the Leave It To Beaver mom who was always dressed in designer clothing with a pearl choker. Not really realistic of a housewife. It’s just what TV was trying to sell the masses of a perfect family with 2 kids and a stay at home mom, while the dad works. Not sure why this would be an Easter since we already have Lavender Haze. However, it does seem like an old Barbie look too.

The scene with the lightbulbs is reminiscent of the birdcage scene from the LWYMMD video. Both have the same aesthetic...her hair and makeup are very similar...and the same color scheme. I would have called it orange before but now I'm gonna go with copper, like a copper filament in old bulbs. Since Taylor has yet to use orange/copper for an album, the speculation that there is a "missing" unreleased album makes sense...one that preceded Rep. If the lightbulb scene in the Karma video is a reference to the birdcage scene, it's obvious that we are supposed to connect the two. I think in both, Taylor is a shackled artist. The birdcage scene in the LWYMMD video was an obvious hint at her feeling like a caged canary performing for others, but lacking freedom to call her own shots. And, in Karma, she is the spark of creativity...lightbulbs represent ideas... that powered all the albums that Scott Borchetta had control of. Now, if both scenes are coded commentary on her Karma album, what I want to know is...what does the fact that the lightbulbs shatter mean? If it has to do with her albums finally being free from Borchetta's control and being rereleased as @Wildest Dreams suggested, could it be that Scott kept Karma "under glass" too and that's why it has never been released? Maybe he wouldn't allow her to release it? But maybe Taylor has rerecorded it and can now set it free?
Taylor has also mentioned several times that butterflies represent rebirth to her and she wore jeans with a butterfly in New York awhile ago. I think that’s referencing her rebirth from the end of a long bad ending to her relationship with Jo.

In look what you made me do, Taylor takes off her mask at the line “all the they think about karma” and in the Rep section for the Karma music video, she is also wearing a mask which she then takes off.
Also the grim reapers flipping her off could represent the three albums she just re-record: Fearless, Red and Speak Now
Personally, I believe she is done rerecording her albums. It's just the release that is taking a lot time because she needs to ensure that each album will have their own time once released.

Genuinely think the broom is another reference to the Wizard of Oz, specifically the Wicked Witch of the West's magic broom. It even curves kind of the same way! I think by using it to sweep her side of the street clean, she's saying she's no longer concerned about whether people want to make her out to be the villain; she's keeping her head up and moving forward down that Yellow Brick Road to success.

I think the lightbulb scene is representing her next re-recordings. Three bulbs go out, representing speak now as her third album and then all 5 go out representing 1989, her fifth album. Also, she’s “trapped” inside these lightbulbs, perhaps alluding to the fact that after she rereleases them she’s no longer trapped by foot pushed manual vehicle. Also, I think with this mv she’s referencing all of her eras and obviously we’ve got the eras tour so I think this is Taylor’s way of saying that she’s actually re recorded all 6 of her albums (she’s been re-recording them since 2019) and is now just living her life.
And they are being recorded in electric lady studios

my theory for the moana part is that it’s another reference to greek mythology. the two first gods were the erath and the sky and then they went on to create the rest and the only thing that came before that was chaos. this really is the only thing that rings true to me as taylor is the earth and ice spice is the sky and moments before they were in outer space catching planets with lassos like cattle.
i think it’s particularly interesting that taylor keeps placing herself in the position of justice and karma throughout the video, when i saw that lady justice scene for the first time my jaw dropped. during the moana part she sings ‚karma is the thunder rattling your ground‘ and then she’s a landmass and it’s giving vigilante shit where she is taking matters into her own hands to enforce what she perceives as just.
i really hope someone is digging up something about those lightbulbs and that gondola scene soon.

so midnights started out as just midnights, then 3am edition, now ‘till dawn. So what if it keeps on goin untill a daytime album! And this is a night album, hence the name. And right after what taylor considered a night album (reputation) came whay she considered a day album (lover)!! And what does a light baulb give off.. light! and like in the day.. there is light? lol but i’m kinda excited for her next studio album (not re record) becuase i LOVE lover!!!
The Egyptian row boat could be a reference to Katy Perry’s Dark horse music video, who we know Taylor and Katy had some BAD BLOOD in the past. The Dark horse music video also came out in 2014 like 1989. Dark horse also featured Juicy J, who was born in 1975. Matty Healy is part of the band The 1975. And Matty Healy was born in 1989.

The opening scene with the butterflies reminds me of her song Clean from the 1989 album. There is a lyric that goes, "when the butterflies turned to dust that covered my whole room." Each butterfly could represent her albums: 1989, Debut, and Speak Now. Since she is alluding to Clean, one of the lines in the chorus is "gone was any trace of you, I think I am finally clean" could hint at her relationship with Scooter Braun and once she releases her rerecorded versions of those albums, Taylor will finally be free.
When the record is distorted, it makes me think of Glitch and then it starts playing normally, like the Glitch has been fixed. It makes me think of this part “A brief interruption, a slight malfunction I'd go back to wanting dudes who give nothing”
I think that GRIM REAPER scene opposite to her is giving me the vibes of "Wonderland" seeing that rabbit there. 😅
Now that I have noticed the blue and black nails, I have a feeling that she had those two colors showing, simply because of a recent Insta post she made (when the Eras Tour was getting ready to start) with her nails colored in each album color. And she colored them in order of each album from left to right.

ANOTHER CLUE I FOUND was in the record player at the beginning. A record only plays once the stylus, the needle, actually makes contact with the record. In the mv, we can hear the distorted music BEFORE the needle actually touches it. this could allude to her relationship w joe. it could show her trust in joe wasn't ENTIRELY ready and solidified, but their relationship took off full-blast. In the great war too, its quite evident that taylor was having trouble trusting joe, when she says 'you said i have to trust more freely'. so this could show another reason for the breakup, that their trust wasn't fully established, and hence the relationship was premature and possibly rushed.
MAYBE she’s going to release the so called “missing album, Karma” theory?
In an interview awhile back Taylor said that she can plan things as early as 3 years ahead right? Well… last year she released midnights. This year, just yesterday she released the Karma music video.
Okay, but let’s go back 3 years ago when she released “The Man” music video in 2020 and that’s where she had the “Karma” in between 1989 and reputation. 3 years later in the Karma music video at the end is the coffee with the clock in between her two painted thumb nails that represent 1989 and reputation. Representing and saying it’s time for the missing album to be released?!

Maybe she's hinting that she's gonna release 1989 AND Reputation? Like at the same time or one after another. If it's the other I think she will release 1989 first and then Reputation right after that, since there are more hints for 1989. It's just a guess because it's really a lot of work to do both, but she's a hard worker so who knows

The clip her paddling creates half a heart in the water and when they shoot it from above the boat resembles a woman’s yoni! I’m guessing from the time bottle ( which is in a figure 8 =law of karma) she was in then going from that to Ice spice being in a clam ( again reference to a woman’s yoni & womb.. and all the pearls resembling eggs.. and ICE S was in red!! Like the time of month and releasing the pearl/ eggs..now thinking about the sand timer she was stuck in to that and all the other references makes me think a lot of it was over her having a miscarriage or not wanting children now with him.
