    That 777 sounded like a flying tea trolley when it landed! 😂 great video through, thanks for sharing 👍

    this is a really awesome video ngl. I know a lot of people, family included who have had one bad experience with Ba in the 80s or something but they are very good 99% of the time

      I've only had nice experiences until now, and I can only say good things about the cabin crew.
      If they extended my status, it would be perfect though! Obviously flying around right now is not the way to go...

    Many people berate BA for their service but it’s actually very good.

    Flying off to HK in September with BA on this plane via Heathrow, really excited! This atleast gives me a good idea of what to expect! :)

    Glad you had a good flight - I'm going to Hong Kong next week and I too have opted for the 777 flight over the A380.

    • @STRFlyer99
      @STRFlyer99  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have actually flown on the A380 on my way back. While the flight seemed quieter, boarding and deboarding took ages..

    Great video. Its a shame British Airways has such an outdated 777 product still on some aircraft

    Nice flight. My favorite aircraft of all time is the Queen of the Skies (747) obviously, but 777 is a great engineering masterpiece

    • @STRFlyer99
      @STRFlyer99  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      From an engineering standpoint, I totally agree! But nowadays, unfortunately there are way more comfortable planes like the A350 or B787... I still love riding on the "older" planes though!

    • @jayd1426
      @jayd1426 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      STRFlyer agree that the A350 and 787 are comfortable. But still, my most comfortable experiences to this date have been in the upper deck/nose of the 747, and the A380 upper deck.

    • @jayd1426
      @jayd1426 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      STRFlyer me too. Riding in older planes like the 747 and 777-200 really takes us back in time to the 1990s when flying had much more unconditional love and peace attached to it. Also, many airlines were the hallmark of the industry. In general, passenger experience was much better in those days. God I miss the 1990s

    • @jayd1426
      @jayd1426 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      STRFlyer it’s mainly fuel efficiency, economics, and environmental friendliness that airlines are after. I still have very comfortable and smooth rides on planes like the 747 and A380 and A340, but unfortunately they aren’t really popular these days. It’s heartbreaking to see the 747s leave, but of course, life is full of tragedy.

      having grown up in the 2000s, I think I missed the "golden age" of aviation... But my childhood was filled with A340s and B747s, and I even remember those MD-11s. As I have family overseas, I used to be on a long-haul flight at least once a year, so the memories are still there :)

    I am also flying to Hong Kong on the 777 and returning on the A380.

      It's so nice to get both those aircraft types in one journey, right?
      Wish you a good flight!

      STRFlyer Just received a message from my agent and he said the flight has changed to Cathay Pacific. I think both flights are 777.

      Not bad either, I think CX is one of the best airlines to fly on!

    Is there a socket for laptop chargers on the plane

    • @STRFlyer99
      @STRFlyer99  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The B777-300s from BA are equipped with power sockets, yes. Some of the B777-200 may not, so keep that in mind.

    Hello, very good report :) do you know which type of aircraft they use on 10.01.20 to hkg and on 18.01.20 back to lhr?

    • @STRFlyer99
      @STRFlyer99  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      On these dates it is supposed to be a B777, there is no specification on the exact model though.

    I’m going on the same type of plane to Seattle I hope it’s this good. 😬

    • @STRFlyer99
      @STRFlyer99  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hope you have a nice trip! Some airlines cram in a 3-4-3 configuration with 10 seats in a row though... :(

    • @pyro_69
      @pyro_69 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      STRFlyer cheers.., I went on the 777, and it was okay.. Unfortunately I was seated at the very rear of the plane, exactly in the last row, And The plane was curved where I was seated so it was uncomfortable for the 9 hours 😭

    • @STRFlyer99
      @STRFlyer99  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pyro_69 That's too bad! Was the flight so full? Honestly, long-haul in an uncomfortable seat sounds very horrifying... Good thing I'm short and fit pretty much anywhere..

    • @pyro_69
      @pyro_69 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      STRFlyer no, Litterally it was only a quater full haha

    • @jayd1426
      @jayd1426 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jonah Best you shoulda moved seats. I move to another seat if the cabin isn’t full. Try it next time. Sadly, that may only happen if you land up on an A380 upper deck

    Nice flight did I miss how long the flight was. Meal looked meh I think the Asian airlines do a better job but maybe that's just me... Thanks

    • @STRFlyer99
      @STRFlyer99  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching! The flight was approximately 11 hours. About the meals: Other airlines definitely offer some more original choices depending on flight routes, LH has some pretty good food on their Japan routes as well ^^
