Super relaxing but I've a question! What makes a hot comb different than a straightener? Is it only meant for kinky hair?

it was initially made for kinky hair, but now a days it's not properly used. There's a specific technique like after combing it onto the hair you have to lay the hot comb flat on the hair shaft then comb downwards slowly. But it can be used on any hair though.
