Well and you know I wonder if the perk points are used to unlock new trucks as well. I know they talked about boss fights being one way to unlock trucks, but this might be another way.
People calling this “unrealistic” have somehow forgotten about Maximum Destruction or M4x4:MoM. I have childhood nostalgia from the latter but Showdown is wayyy more realistic than those two.
Peeps complaining about the physics never played Steel Titans 1. That crap was BONKERS. Also bare in mind you can turn the assists off, per the official Discord. It WILL play completely different without all of the assists. Honestly, I'm just really excited to dig into this game. It looks WAY better than Steel Titans 1. It looks way better than Monster Truck Championship (wouldn't recommend) and it looks a lot better than Steel Titans 2 (in which I actually really enjoy!)

I'm almost positive we'll see a paid DLC within 3 months of release, hopefully with the inevitable bug fixes and quality of life updates too. I don't think they're going to abandon the game the way Rainbow did with Steel Titans.
They've said that you will have to unlock trucks, but they haven't really talked about how just yet. I'm sure it'll be something like career mode in Steel Titans.
I really want grave digger to have the 25th anniversary livery, where it's all chrome. That's my favorite anniversary body of it. And I guess the original max d will have the 20th anniversary livery due to the same body type

Over Bored and even Black Pearl are very likely with Wild Side in the game. If they 3D scanned the trucks at World Finals 22, I'd imagine Black Pearl is on the way, and we might get Chad Tingler's red Over Bored too if they scanned trucks at this year's World Finals. Oddly enough, I'm personally hoping the 6 trucks in the copyright(Captain's Curse, my personal favorite, is there too) are DLC for more room for independents. And room for Rottweiler. Seriously, what does Milestone have against the first Mutt to get a 3D body?

And yes I agree with you 100% Over Bored and Black Pearl are probably going to be in there somewhere, at this point, likely DLC though. I don't know what the deal is with Rottweiler! Maybe it'll be a livery? But they did say that the body style won't change, only paint jobs... who knows!?!

I'd love to see the whole mutt patrol in Showdown. I don't know for sure obviously, but I'd be willing to bet that they'll all make an appearance, either through liveries, or a DLC pack.
I think there are a lot of older fans that are frustrated by the heavy lean towards a younger audience. I blame FELD a little bit for ignoring the adult fanbase. They've been doing it for a while.

Yes. There's a little bit of confusion on this at the moment, but it seems like, for now at least, that you do have to pre-order, or purchase the game within the first few weeks of release. Typically they'll offer pre-order bonuses as paid DLC down the line though so you may not be permanently left out if you don't pre-order.
Can you please ask the monster jam showdown discord people if there will be something like free ride in this game like in steel titans 2 and also why on the Xbox series x why in the play store it says currently not available to be pre order which makes no sense to me when in the same store I am able to pre order games before it comes out and after it comes thanks in advances toucanplays
They said that there is a training area that will have free ride, but most of the levels will not have that unfortunately. Digital pre-orders are not up yet, but hopefully will be soon.
It would be more fun for tournaments, but it would be kind of boring for the 7 others who are just sitting there watching a solo run. Still, it would be cool if they made a tournament mode where we could all go one at a time.

Yeah, I think a lot of folks have rose colored glasses when they think back to those old games. The physics were way worse than they remember.
