Don't you just love the fact that we are selling off all our best young talent. Just watch it come back to haunt us in about 6 years time when they are tearing it up and worth God knows how much money
I get why we are having to do these deals, and its a hell of a price given his lack of first team minutes. Just hope it doesnt damage the pull of our academy, that there doesnt seem a great pathway now as likely sold at the first whiff of interest. Would have liked to have seen kellyman develop with us. Need to watch the homegrown and academy rules too.
Great pod rich. We’re losing some young talent but getting young talent that is ready to take part in the first team. Maatsen, barrenechea, illing junior and even dobbin might be able to help as a squad player
I don't want Kellyman to leave I think he has a bright future but if he does go we need to make sure we put a sell on clause and a buy back clause in there
any academy players left , its pretty obvious now that academies are there for this reason and it may be next season is being covered with all these sales
Get Tammy Abraham back in a Villa Shirt, there are 4 crucial players who have carried us in 10 years.... Grealish, Benteke, McGinn and Tammy, if it wasn't for Tammy scoring those goals to get us up who knows the Butterfly Effect
When they said a player would be sold to Chelsea, I thought it was obvious it would be Kellyman. I'm quite furious about it. Not only is PSR ruining young players and by default clubs it's created a scenario of spending money in order to be able to spend money via mutual sales/ swaps. Kellymans £20m fee is about right for his value now. He won't have to do much to become a standard £30m PL player. And his cieling may be much higher. Chelsea will loan him out or ise him in cups and use him for PSR again in a year or 2. How many carers will be wasted by the rules before anything is done about them?
I am disappointed as I was looking forward to watching Kellyman mature and grow. But I understand the reasons and I also think this proves the pathway from the academy looks healthy as players either go on great loans; go on to the first team bench/training with senior team or have opportunities to be sold to big clubs like Chelsea ...
Disappointed to see talented young players like Kellyman , Iroegbunam go but sadly this is the only way we can stick within the ffp rules & provide a war chest for Unai to spend . I think they have left sooner than might be expected . I think Kellyman out the two would have forced his self into the first team at some point as a regular in the future , but sadly we simply dont have the time to give them to reach there full potential . I wish them both the best for there future careers i have no doubt they will be successful .
Crazy business. Complete lack of organizational planning leaves us having to sell our best young assets for less than market value. Unbelievably awful leadership. Top 4 masks the issues. We CANT continue to do this! Our Academy is being decimated.
Our academy is garbage, nothing bar Grealish and Ramsey has come through in 10 years, our academy is awful, it blows my mind why kids want to sign for us
Unfortunately it’s the price of PSR and our accelerated success. Of the young players we’ve let go over the past couple of years I’m struggling to think who would be honestly worthy of a place in our match squad, especially where we strive to be and we’ve made good money from them A Ramsey Archer Philogene Carney Azaz Tim I
@@neilorridge2537That's a crazy take. I'm not pleased Kellyman is going, but We built a squad that got us CL football, that's wound up needing sales to comply with rules that shouldn't exist anyway. Outside of that, without CL football and the higher quality of players, there would be no CL money next season and no extra commercial revenue. We'd end up selling players anyway. All with nothing to show for it. And those players would be more likely to be the likes of Ollie to a CL club so be careful what you wish for. We're not the only team having to do it. Many teams are selling their young players and some have made it their primary business. The ownership has been fantastic as have the management and coaches.
@@brettriverboat9920Has been for years. It's improving now but you don't see the benefits for some years. Maybe even a decade. All the best Midlands talent has been swept up by West Brom for years. Both us and Blues (buy especially us) should have been doing a better job. New owners are putting in money that wasn't previously spent on youth but for a while it's nothing more than catching up.
As juve fan am watch villa all games next season you guys are getting two of the best youngsters ever forza villa thanks for Luiz
All good business, very few youth players truly make the cut at this level. Time will tell.

That feeling of losing young players is like that feeling you get when you’re children leaves home 🥹
Bit dramatic

Sadly until the FA sort out the PSR, pretty much all clubs will be using this approach going forward.

good luck Tim
Hope all these "deals" don't come back to haunt us in the future!
Big up Rich 💜💙💜

Afternoon Rich - gutted about Kellyman

I still can't get over Dougie going to Juventus.

How about Lukaku as a top striker to share the load, alternating with Watkins
Collusion between Villa and Chelsea 100% lol, let us both buy each other young players for this Profitability thing

On a sode note, how Dyche would it be to field a midfielde of Dacoure, Onana and Tim? 😂😂😂
That height is more akin to a basket ball team.

Diaby, bailey, illing jr, all ahead of kellyman, he'd struggle for game time, it's a fantastic deal
very dissapointed if true
Don’t take Kellyman take Duran please hha
Disappointing so far. Apart from Maatsen if that goes, None of these players Rumoured to come in improve our squad or starting 11.
If you look at uni while he has been at the club he hasn't given any youngster a chance so I don't rate him
I said ramseys going nowhere

No it’s the price of not managing PSR correctly! Big difference!
