However, due to a chronic illness called "common variable immune deficiency" (CVID), she had to give up those dreams as her health declined. Just because i haven't seen anyone say this in the comments yet, but art commissions for vtubers can range anywhere from free to hundreds or to thousands of dollars. There is commissioning the art then commissioning the rig. (The rigging makes it possible to make the flat 2d art look 3d. The Art for a vtuber has to be separated so it CAN be rigged, separation meaning - a bow/ribbon needs layers to it to move. each ribbon needs to be alone so it can overlap the other if needed and it has to be able to move on it’s own etc etc.)

There are a few videos of her doing *actual* opera in her opera voice, though she's usually a bit more self conscious about that (probably because she knows how she used to sound, and how it's supposed to sound, and can tell all the little things that are wrong that the rest of us can't). She is specifically a coluratura soprano, who often have parts written for them with very high and intricate runs of notes (and nowadays seems to have a tendancy to catch the giggles mid-run, which is very cute but probably frustrating)

Price can vary wildly, based on the artist, complexity, detail, 3d vs 2d, etc. You can get a very basic one for fairly cheap, at least as far as vtuber models go. The complex and detailed models from the more well known and reputable artists will go for thousands of dollars. Iirc, ironmouse said that her most expensive model was $10k.
Vtuber models cost a lot. There are two model creator jobs, drawing the art, called mama or the artist, and making it move, called a rigger or papa. Art can cost between 1000-10,000. Rigging is almost double that.

Vtuber models cost a lot. There are two model creator jobs, drawing the art, called mama or the artist, and making it move, called a rigger or papa. Art can cost between 1000-10,000. Rigging is almost double that.
Lol honestly, as crazy as it is, when you say "if she hadnt gotten sick imagine where shed be in the opera community"...... she would probably be less well off than she is now fame and money wise. Being a top streamer definitely pays better, like she has to be a millionaire at this point and can take care of herself and her family because of the transition from music into streaming
