Dr Abdul Bari Khan was my teacher and mentor. I worked with him in Civil Hospital Karachi in 2002 in cardiac surgery department as house officer. He is a great teacher and great human being as well as a true Muslim with strong belief in Allah
I have also worked in indus hospital korangi for 3 months as a data collector in emergency ward believe they are providing the health care facilities at Aga Khan hospital level

It's very bad to stick special bad traits with a nation as you portrayed a bad picture of Pathan nation by mentioning Pathan. You must avoid this like words plz.
You want him to lie? Just because your feelings are hurt ?
No kanish, i don't want him to lie but he can mention names of lady and that guy but can't use a name which is used for millions of people around the world. Because millions are not the same and mentioning only bad person of a community is not good.
By narrating his experience, sir bari is not insulting any nation on linguistic basis. He was just highlighting over all situation of our country. Try to understand the context. Be grown up please.
No offence to Dr. Bari, Dr. Rizvi and other legends of the industry, but healthcare is the stupidest thing a cash-strapped country with explosive population growth can subsidize (with taxes and donations).
Healthcare is an import-centric and consumption-oriented industry that burdens the ailing economy of a country. Those funds can be redirected to manufacture export-grade pharmaceuticals and medical devices, develop digital health and AI infrastructure, promote medical tourism or train health workers for developed economies such as US and Middle East.
A free cancer hospital may be free for the patient, but the hospital still has to pay for the imported therapeutics that can easily reach upwards of $100K per patient. Citizens of an Islamic Republic should have faith in Allah for their treatment, and should not wail like widows when funds are redirected towards exports.
Human life takes precedence over everything else. Also, you argue as if the total healthcare expenditure of Pakistan (public and private) is 10+ percent of GDP. This is not a question of diverting resources from a basic sector to induce private sector growth. That can be done by other policy interventions.

@@zaidi03 percentage of GDP is not a good metric in Pakistan's case. 3% of GDP in 2020 = $9 billion - 55.44% out of pocket = $4 billion is still a huge number when you compare with our total forex reserves ($18.7 billion in 2020).
