My dad takes me to where it was and there are old gates from the tornado.It is fun to go see the things that the kids my age (10) will never have.Now days you see kids playing video games.I wish it was still here now days so that kids can have fun outside.

thanks for sharing -I grew up on Pleasant Street in Bromley and heard stories from neighbors that went to the park - we ice skated on the lagoon in 50's and 60's

I was born there played at the park near the lagoon as a kid. My mom told me a story of 2 brothers that drown there when she was little and how the parents didn’t let anyone swim there because of the rails and remnants under the surface. I had no idea of how beautiful it was.

There is talk of possibly rebuilding the lagoon park. I guess it would depend on available funds.

It will never happen. Carlisle family is greedy, Ludlow City Council is, as always corrupt and even worse the citizens voted children onto the city council, taxes are wasted yearly on projects that go nowhere. For a city with one of the highest property tax rates in NKY you would think the city would be immaculate but it’s not
