As someone who’s suffered hypomanic episodes, I feel like this song perfectly shows how it can be. It’s a swirl of emotions and thoughts that are often not connected. I’m still lucky because I can at least distinguish when I’m hypomanic or not. Some people with full blown mania can’t even tell they are going through an episode.
I was diagnosed bipolar I never had it it was adhd what made things worse prescription drugs caused psychosis! I got sectioned then they give me a load of drugs that's when things took a turn for the worse as everyone started turning into vampires!
I have the most respect for cobain as a atist song writer. He was a hit song writer unique style to lyrics like saying a verse backwards. And very catchy hooks. Will never be missed. R.i.p. kurt cobain✌

Yeah, he knew that. He didn’t like writing lyrics so a lot of the time he just came up with stuff at the last minute. A lot of it didn’t fit the rhythm of the music but he didn’t want to spend more time on it. The problem is that fans wanted to know what all of his lyrics meant so he had to invent explanations after the fact. This song isn’t that bad...it’s got a central theme and fits okay but look at Smells Like Team Spirit.
