    How do you list footbridges, poly tanks as achievements. We are talking about UG medical center that saved the lives of Matthew Opoku prempeh (education minister), Health minister, Dan Botwe, Carlos Ahenkwa etc from COVID-19 not mediocre stuff u are talking about here. Actually, officials in NPP government are the main beneficiaries of Mahama's massive infrastructure in health sector.

    As an engineer I'm having a good laugh at the debate on the cost of interchange.

    Good discussion @CitiTube. There appeared to be a lack of concensus between the two parties on the subject of "value for money" of roads infrastructure as to what the primary determinant of the cost of a road infrastructure is. Perhaps having a neutral individual on the programme with technical expertise on the subject will help with the verification of statements made by either parties.

    If someone has inflated a contract and you have evidence, sue them to high heavens! Why keep making the claim and let them walk? We all complained that Circle Interchange was too expensive and yet you came and did nothing and still want us to follow that line of argument?

    29 vs 27 E Blocks can be deceptive. A project being 80% complete in 2016 and 100% in 2017 won't make a fair comparison since it doesn't take the amount of effort. This whole thing is a subjective exercise. The economy shows the true winner.

  • @kwame9053
    @kwame9053 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Those engineers are bogus... You can't place cost primarily on the length of the bridges. Can a 1km bridge constructed in permafrost cost the same or even close to one constructed on regular soil or on rock? You claim to be making intellectual arguments but ignore basic factors of making scientific analysis.

    This statement that the length of a bridge primarily determines the cost is moot. Foremost is the type and amount of material used. Then comes environmental and preliminary studies on impact (traffic re-routing), administrative expenses (e.g. hiring engineers to design the bridge and manage its constructions). It is never true that the length is the determinant. Never ever true. People should be humble and research before they come and sit on TV and blurt

  • @kwame9053

    It doesn't make sense... Is John Mills the one running against Nana Addo? So why should they use JM's vice presidency ie. Mill's first term as the basis for the discussion. JDM will not win 2020 but let's be fair when making analysis.

    gideon boako is a typical npp member outmoded. two people can build boys quarters but one's can be 10× more expensive than the other it depends on how one believes in quality. mahama's projects look more beautiful and quality.

    boako has gotten it all wrong quality and quantity aren't same. mahama does quality projects which you expect to pay more. akuffo addo does shoddy jobs such as the open air toilet and the poly tanks he sees them as an achievements it tells you how npp thinks. npp is formed by people of the stone age.
