But Richmond will certainly feel good again after a rough few weeks where they haven’t been at their best. But neither has Essendon after a great start. We’ll see what happens between now and Saturday Night ok.
Aside from missing a bunch of early shots at goal, the Cats played pretty well. Both teams had players out, so we shouldn't go down that route. Looks like Richmond has found useful roles for Cotchin & Martin as they approach the twilight their careers. If Richmond ends up making the Final 8, we can point to this match as the start of it.

What a performance from the tigers!, they have really turned back the clock and pulled out a very strong performance against the reigning premiers. The cats were able to stay within touching distance of the tigers and challenged them for majority of the game but we were able to break away in the last quarter and the tiger army definitely played a factor tonight.

Geelong had 9 players out , and the umpire that let that push in the back go and the holding decisions against Geelong should be hanged , I think it ended up 20-9 free kicks against the cats , shame it would have been a better game
We had Lynch, Nankervis, Soldo, Maurice Rioli, Young, Gibcus and Tarrant all out injured, along with Hopper sustaining an injury during the match. The umps let Hawkins push his man in the back every single week, but it only seems to be an issue with Cats fans when someone else does it against them. Free kick count was 21 to 14, not 20 to 9. Definitely makes up for the countless amount of times that the umps have absolutely murdered us against the Cats
