Schema markup can be done a few ways, depending on what framework you are using. For wordpress I suggest using a plugin. For HTMl/CSS you mark it up like any other language inside html. Can find schema generators online.

3000 word count is waaaay too long, sometimes I even think 1500-2000 words are too long. Articles should be straight to the point.
