@@gameby41 i got her recently and used her in only one fight, so I can't tell yet. Description of one of her skills says that she can transform into a monster and might hurt other companions while being in transformation. This is just a speculation, but I don't think I would use her if I had Hellen or Danny. Joel looks less useful but at least he wouldn't make me heal more often.
Fun fact: there are 3 recruitable party members that can join you. That being joel the teeth child, hellen the slasher and danny the creep
