he’s truly the best captain ive ever seen on the volleyball court 🥺 after japan lost to brazil today, i could tell how much he wanted to advance to the semi finals. and i know he has a bright future ahead of this loss, so much more victories to achieve in the future. he’s a great man with great power, a legend 🏐🔥

I just love it when he flies from the back row, but his powerful serves, high vball IQ, smart spikes (yes, very smart - he knows when to change strength and speed), solid blocks, and suave sets are too die for, too. Just an AMAZING player. I do not get easily star-struck, but I definitely will if I see him. Oh how I wish I could watch him play live and meet him in person. Sigh.
I started being curious of the Japan’s Volleyball NT because of Nishida’s jumps that went viral back in WC 2019. But after watching the games, this guy really really caught my attention. He’s a friggin all-rounder and he does amazing in all those positions. He wasn’t the captain during that time, but he was already showing that he can lead and be very reliable. A really smart player! It’s always a joy to watch you on the court, Yuki!
his performance in the quarter-finals against brazil in Tokyo 2020 was just amazing. you could see his desperation to get his team into the semis. he is such an all-rounder. i hope that the Japan national team can come back stronger! rooting for you ✊

I used to watch Japan team in VNL because of Yuji Nishida's powerful spike but surprisingly hook now because of the talented rookie Ran Takahashi ,now playing for Kioene Padova Italy....and was impressed with the powerful and creative moves of Yuki Ishikawa. Now excited for VNL 2022 for all of them playing. Epic!

Does this matches require buying tickets to watch in person? I don't know why it makes me sad to see so many empty seats. Or maybe it's just because this match isn't a semi-finals or a finals game. I don't know, haha. The empty seats just made me sad. I would've loved to see Team Japan play in person.
Ishikawa’s my favorite at the Japanese team but they really need to improve their middle blockers if they wish to compete with the higher level teams. I wish they could’ve advanced further in the olympics.
