    Keep it up man I'm loving the content. Your take on the Rashford situation seems like common sense to me. No player should be bigger than the team. And from the outside is has looked like United for a long time has had a culture of prioritizing players over philosophy.

    I'm really looking forward to your next video!
    I have a feeling you might be covering attacking wide center-backs-seems like a tactical trend Amorim is exploring. Though, of course, Inzaghi is the true godfather of attacking center-backs and false center-backs, with midfielders dropping deep into the buildup phase. And let’s not forget Chris Wilder’s influence at Sheffield United!
    Recently, we’ve seen Martínez driving forward more, and I’m curious if this is a deliberate tactical shift from Amorim. When comparing Iñácio’s seasonal heat map to Martínez, you can see a clear difference in positioning-Martínez is pushing higher up the pitch. I feel this is partly due to Dalot playing as a left wing-back but not attacking as much as he should. Some of it comes down to Dalot’s limitations, but it’s also a tactical response from opposing managers, who pin down our wing-backs with high and wide wingers.
    If this isn’t what you’re covering on Friday, I’d love to see a breakdown on this topic in the future. Your visual explanations and edited clips are second to none!
    Keep up the great work!

      that's all good observations. the manager himself said that Licha has attacking traits and he wants him forward more often throughout games. so you are definitely correct that it's planned. Although people say and think that Amorim is rigid in his formation and his style of play, he is not that rigid. he has certain things he prefers like diagonal runs into the oponents wide zones (zones 16 and 18) because it can lead to a chance created or even if it doesn't it can set up a pressing trap to get the ball back quickly. He likes that when we are in our own defensive wide zones, to send long balls to our striker but Rasmus can't win duels or hold up the ball so we give the ball away when we do that. And other things I've already spoken about in videos. But what you saw in the last game is that he switched Maz to the left and Dalot to the right because he was trying to accomodate Garnacho. He let Garnacho play outside like a winger instead of an inside 10 and had Mazraoui invert from his fullback position to play the inside 10 role, which Maz really sucked at (it was bad). But Amorim was trying to get the best out of Garnacho by playing him wide.
      I'm not covering CB joining the attack situation yet or much because as a coach myself (not football) when I observe my players my eye immediately goes to what is wrong, because my job is to fix it. I have so much to say about mistakes that are happening in our attack and how some of our favorite players are still making the dumbest mistakes in positioning that it really angers me. So believe me when we start playing better I can start making videos about what is right because they are more fun to make. You are correct though, it is Amorims idea to allow Licha to get all the way forward by the opponents box. when that happens you will notice Ugarte or Collyer will start to back peddle and cover behind a touch in case of counter attacks. which is a lot like Inzaghi's system.

    Manchester United’s approach has shifted from forcing youth academy players into the first team to strategically acquiring top young talent from around the world. Instead of relying on expensive ‘statement signings,’ we’re now playing the global recruitment game smartly-similar to RB Leipzig or Brighton, but with the prestige and pull that only United has. Fans expected a Man City/PSG-style rebuild, but what we’re seeing is a carefully structured, sustainable approach. Even with wage reductions, our salaries remain among the highest in football, keeping us attractive to elite talent like De Ligt. This evolution is necessary, and United is finally adapting to modern football.

    • @techarch8851
      @techarch8851 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Where have you been? You forgot we signed around 17 academy players during oles time? How many of those made it to first team garnacho?

    • @SemeexFootball
      @SemeexFootball  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The truth is the strategy shift in signing young talent was a Murtough thing not an INEOS thing although INEOS obviously believe in it too. But it was Murtough who signed Amad And Garnacho and Alvaro Fernandez and others that never made it. Anyway you still make a good point in that we are paying lower more sustainable wages. I honestly don’t know how I feel yet. I need to see what they do this summer in the market

    • @babushka_boy
      @babushka_boy วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ so we clearly weren’t doing it right then. It’s not even about the first team. It’s about creating enough quality talent who succeed elsewhere and raise funds for us

      @babushka_boy we can't sell first team players who are experienced and you expect us to sell academy players?

    • @SemeexFootball
      @SemeexFootball  วันที่ผ่านมา

      a part of me agrees with you, but Tel is $10 million cheaper, younger, and would be on less wages. I think INEOS will think about how if it doesn't work they will be able to sell him in 2 years whereas Cunha would be harder to sell.

  • @theburmanator1938
    @theburmanator1938 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Tbh I’m not convinced by the Tel transfer. If we sell Garna at the asking price, we should be getting someone with a goal scoring record like Gimenez, Aghehowa, Gyokeres, or Osimhen

    • @SemeexFootball
      @SemeexFootball  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I think Gyokeres or someone of that nature is what we plan on doing in the summer after we move on either Rasmus or Zirkzee

      @@SemeexFootball We need a 20 goal replacement this Jan if Rashford/Garna leaves. Then we’ll need a >10 goal replacement if Hojlund or Zirkzee leaves in the summer to have any chance of getting top 4. Id like to see Chido given minutes this season to see if he can be our >10 goals forward next season

    • @SemeexFootball
      @SemeexFootball  วันที่ผ่านมา

      I hope or think you're right about needing the Rashford/Garna replacement in the next week left in this wiindow. and for the summer I hope we get a good striker ((Gyokeres or Samu), sell one of ours (Rasmus or Zirkzee) and Chido plays as our 3rd choice striker next season just getting some minutes here and there.

    To me it looks like Amorim do not only demand standards on training and playeing, but tries to impose a certain fundamentalist religious standard on the players and control their whole time and life: catholic?, Islamic?, Jewish? or all of those at the same time.
    In either case, Amorim talks and behave more like a priest, imam, rabbi, or cult leader than like a really professional football coach.
    Maybe Rashford wants to be the boss of his own life outside the football realm, and Amorin is offended by this.
    Anyway, it is clear that he has decided never to give Rashford a new chance, even if he puts all efforts into training and learning.
    Paradoxically he also talks about Rashford in a way that makes it very difficult for him to find a new club.
    But I do not think any of the players accepts that total priesthood of Amorim and that will make Amorim+s mission at Mu fail. But Rashford is perhaps the one that dared to tell it to Amorim.

    • @SemeexFootball
      @SemeexFootball  วันที่ผ่านมา

      I would ask you to not think of the player in question as Marcus Rashford because it is obvious that you may like Rashford and therefor are being a little biased in your analysis of the situation. what if it was just player A? So player A is being paid the most in the club and yet instead of setting an example to the rest of the team as to what it takes to reach his level and earn that kind of money and fame, player A is going out Partying in Belfast and taking trips to the USA during the season. He's not setting a good example of what a Professional ought to act like. I am a big fan of Michael Jordan and I want the best players on my team to have that kind of attitude. Every training session and every scrimmage should be ultra competitive and the top players should want to win at everything. even if it's just a small 5 a side game. that's how you set the right work ethic and attitude into the whole team. It really bothers me that when Player A was up for contract renewal talks he performed amazing, and he even flirted with PSG so he can get even more money from us, which he did. Then he did not follow up those performances in the same way after getting a new contract.
      We have needed a big change at this club for a long time. Maybe our best players are the ones that are toxic. Pogba had a bad work ethic, Lingard had a bad work ethic, and maybe Player A is another one that is poison. The only way we find out is if he goes and Amorim starts to build from nothing. This is a manager who has built more then one full team before so lets give him a chance to build a team the way he wants. that's my opinion at least and there's no right or wrong opinion on this one. at least not yet.

    The team is brain dead still and low game IQ ..biggest worry!!! Educate to speculate?
