Whenever I do see Kim play he looks a very powerful runner and even gets up to speed quickly considering his size. When up against tricky fast wingers, his strength and good acceleration should definitely put him at an advantage Vs many centre backs.

If Man Utd underestimate Kim Min-jae, Kim Min-jae will never go to Man Utd. Kim Min-jae is a player who is very sensitive to whether or not he plays as a starting pitcher. When was the last time United arranged all the details of a tansfer even before the window opened, and then just needing to finalize it with some signatures and whatnot as soon as the window opened? Min Jae seems like the perfect fit for United. He could play alongside any of Varane, Martinez and Lindelöf on either side. Kudus is someone I really like, he can play 10, false 9 or RW and has a good eye for goal too, is creative, he should significantly improve our attack. He's also a good ball carrier, accurate passer who doesn't loose the ball easily, a bit like Bernardo Silva which can help us be more of a possession side.

It's the total opposite of that, he hardly gives it away and has averaged an 89% pass accuracy in the league, those are elite numbers along with a high tackle success rate and he's only 21 and apparently Man United and Real Madrid are his dream clubs. Great analysis! As a Korean fan of him I've watched all of Napoli games this season and can confidently say that he is unplayable when the team plays at a high line and he is required to cover a lot of ground. But one thing that has to be said is that his performance falls off quite a bit when his legs get tired from playing frequently. So I think even if Varane is competition, United is the perfect place for him because he needs that rotation for full performance.

Hey there man, great video as usual. I was wondering if you could take a general look at Man Utd's front three. Mainly I'm interested in your opinion about Rashford, Martial and Anthony as a unit. They are all pretty much all forwards and without a specific job. I'm worried about lack of creativity from the front 3, since Rashford can't pass, Antony can't cross and Martial can only score from a clear cut position. Throw in the fact that none of them can't dribble and can only dart forward and smash the ball roughly in the direction of the goal, they have limited abilities and uses. Are these really the players Man Utd needs and wants? Would you replace them with a striker paired with wide creators? Can Rashford be a proper striker, false 9 or a goal poacher like Thierry Henry, who was a winger before striker? Can Antony learn to pass, cross and dribble? Can Sancho become a wide playmaker/winger we need, like Mahrez, Saka, Sane? Who is going to create goals from wide positions? What is the analysis for the front 3, can current setup work or is it better to buy an all new functional attack, you know, left foot-left wing? IMO current setup is dysfunctional and the end product they currently put out almost always ends in a forced action without scanning for the best solution and execution and more often than not there are better options that players just don't see them.
To answer your question,Martial will never be reliable , Antony needs huge coaching he has the talent, Rashford will benefit off a striker like Harry Kane. Sancho does not have the explosiveness like Sane. Nor does he have the imagination to beat fullbacks 1v1 consistently. He would need a fullback like Frimpong to support him constantly like at Dortmund he had Hakimi and Meunier
I think you need read up on rudiger again you are highly overrating him, he has not been that great Cb for Real Madrid this season as he was when he was at Chelsea
Lisandro Martinez is a combination of both Rio Ferdinand and Vidic...he can play clean and sleek like Rio and when necessary gets dirty rough ,aggressive and street like Vidic
but Lisandro is a midget as Defender. Height is important trait for defender.

If it was a taller defender, the defender would have higher chance of winning. It is a fact that you can't ignore for a central defender. I don't care if you are short as an attacking midfielder, winger, but for a defender, it is very important to be tall to clear headers, etc. Ayala and Cannavaro were good defenders, but other top taller defender are better, like Varane, De ligt, Virgil, Ruben Dias, Chiellini, etc. CB needs to be TALL. Lisandro is a liability as CB, you need his CB partner to be TALL. But if your two CB's are tall, that is even better. If I was building a team, my two CBs will be Tall and Strong, not 5'6" short...LOL

I think Min Jae likely would be an upgrade on Varane. But there is something to be said about the partnership between Martinez and Varane probably being better than the sum of it's parts. When I look at the scouting report of Varane I don't think it really tells the whole story. That report suggests Varane have been pretty poor this last season, and I don't think this is the case at all. So it migh just be the case that Varane's and Martinez' playstyle are so well suited to play together that even though Min Jae probably is better individually there might not be a big upgrade on the pitch. I think Min Jae would be the absolute perfect long term replacement to Varane though. And I think the squad as a whole would benefit right away from getting him even if he and Varane play 50% each of the games.
Totally agree. Varane is less aggressive and sweeps. KMJ is an aggressive front foot defender like Martinez so won't suit as well as Varane with Martinez. Can definitely work together over time but not right away

Of course previous titles doesn't mean you're the best player now, but often it's evidence that you've consistently performed at the highest level. Unless you've undergone a big dip or aged-out, that class will still show. When Varane plays consistently, his class shines through. It's only injuries that hamper him. They are a real problem though so having the 3 of them on rotation with Lindelof as the 4th sounds great.

Dismissing real world career defining experience as a legitimate category for decision making is just wrong. No doubt this guy is talented. Interesting you brought up Koulibaly….his exposure in the prem after the hype with Napoli is the perfect example of just what the risk is with this type of player. Reality is this guy is all hype currently and riding a wave of confidence. His class, longevity, and consistency are still left to be determined.
