I work out of SK a few times/year, and can say that this map is a very accurate depiction of rural SK - am always happy to get out there to work! Wish this map had a few more features though (RCR, extra crops, etc).
Every 4x map review i watch makes me that much more excited to get my pc built. And you always do a great job showing these maps. The cinematic you put at the start is always so cool
FSG, Thank you for this excellent review! I enjoy Julian F Modding’s equipment mods in FS22 and I am looking forward to this map release. I live in Saskatchewan and I have been involved in agriculture here most of my life. The Canadian prairies were surveyed into 1 mile by 1 mile units called “Sections” which contain 640 acres each. Most sections are divided into “Quarter’s” of 160 acres each. Most fields are a quarter section or 160 acres in size. Depending on topography, several quarters may make up a large field. Road allowances along the sections are 1 mile apart in longitude and 2 mile apart in latitude. Common crops in this semi-arid region of SW Saskatchewan are lentils, durum and hard red spring wheat, canola, chick peas and flax. Corn and soybeans in row crop are not very common. Machinery used are large 4wd and track tractors to pull wide air seeders in spring and grain carts during harvest. Large self-propelled sprayers are used through out the growing season to apply chemicals for crop protection and fertilization. Large combines with wide platforms harvest the crops from August to early October. Crops are stored in large grain bins until marketed and hauled by large trucks with multiple grain trailers called “B” trains or super “B’s”.
Looks like it will be another amazing creation. One thing I noticed is they just made large feilds and didn't reduce them to the original location. Not all want to start out as a huge farm.
Your intros and outros, are those actually words 🤔, are just beautiful. Love the music as well. My kind of map for sure. I love 4x maps. I think I have played them all. Big fields = Big equipment! I like building one giant farm with sheds, shops and a nice big house. Then I create satellite farms with lots of silos and equipment sheds. I love running multiple combines. I’m hoping you can sell or remove some buildings and the junk. I just hate junk laying around. Probably my grandfather’s fault. He always kept his farm so neat and clean. Thanks as always FSG. Another great production from FSG Studios.
Yayyyy, the farms and farm houses are marked on the map🎊🥂💃 Much better than loma montana where you need to buy them to see them, but really hard to know where to find them 🙈🤣
Great map tour! I’m excited for this. I play a lot of big simple maps. Right up my alley. Where can I get that ford pickup mod? And does the fuel tank in the back function??
I’m all for another Canadian map, but there still isn’t an Alberta map! A beautiful province with flat prairie land and rolling hills and some Rocky Mountains thrown in there. One day I pray for an AB map. Otherwise another great map review FSG!
Map looks very nice. Decent chunky fields, like that :~) I did see earlier, think it was here on youtube, a video for a 32x (no that's not a mistype). Imagine that with potatoes ;~)
Yeah Spring Creek, we've been playing it in the community for the last 2 years, it's epic.... and when I hit 100k, they are going to make me harvest potatoes on it 😂
Not a hole lol going on, productions etc.. Miss a bit more traffic and life in town. But it's a little but cozy town and I like the look of this map. As you say we have some ereas we could create something of our imagination, I hope this map will work great in terms of mods. But I do miss the amazing walk inside beautiful farm houses from Loma Montana, those are incredible. But have you heard anything about when it will be released, and will you create a series on this map FSG? I would love that. I really hope it will be available before FS25. Thanks for a great map tour
It's a real life location in the middle of canada, so not much in the way of productions etc, very much a farming town. I expect it'll be out before FS25, but in terms of a series, I think with FS25 so close I'll probably not be doing anything with it. hopefully it gets converted quickly though
@@TheFarmSimGuy but this looks great and it's great to have the opportunity to build your own stuff as well. I understand in terms of a series, but it's allowed to wish right 😉 I'm really looking forward to FS25
I must say to be honest, this looks better than Loma montana in terms of landscape, as well as base products ain't removed. That was a big mistake on Loma
Just a quick question. Does the cows produce milk on this map? I didn't know that cows doesn't produce milk when they are located in Loma Montana in real life. I believe cows do produce milk in real life anyway, no matter where they live in the world. It is really frustrating when I play on loma montana, so I really hope they do on this map. The same with trees, we need to breathe. If this have those things, I might switch over to this map. Looks really beautiful just already so early in the video
Cows only make milk if they've given birth, if they are not milked after that the milk dries up, and been cattle tend to predominatly be male, the animal lot on Loma is supposed to be a beef cattle farm. As for trees, this is Saskachewan in real life... www.google.com/maps/@50.7564225,-108.7808089,3a,90y,37.24h,85.43t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1st98r6b6Y95hbL3N7FyVOlw!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fpanoid%3Dt98r6b6Y95hbL3N7FyVOlw%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile.gps%26w%3D203%26h%3D100%26yaw%3D45.785603%26pitch%3D0%26thumbfov%3D100!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDkxMS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
It's absolutely massive! I love how the modder made the terrain appear to extend beyond the map. It really adds to the appearance of size.
actually playing it and the map is rly cool, hope that this map get bigger cus like its been said *the apearence of the size*.
Nice intro btw

Fantastic info appreciate you taking the time to drop all that into the comments 😊👍
I love how much effort you always put into your cinematic intros!
Thanks man, I think it helps people get much more of an idea of the map than going into minute detail about every point 🙂
I have passed the Abbey many times, and have been to this town.

Can't wait.
Fraser Valley, bc is taking most of my time now but I'd be interested in checking this one out.
Looks pretty accurate from the parts of Saskatchewan I've seen. Just need some big beef lots.
Yeah I agree, the border line on Loma Montana looks gray until you get closer. Here it is green and looks great
looks good, lots of opportunities and space on this map.

Because it’s a 4x that won’t run on consoles
