He makes it so easy to understand! I was so stressed about Chemistry because I didn’t understand any of it, but he’s such a good teacher, thank u sm Dr B
I was struggling until I found your video. I've watched many of your tutor videos and they always make everything make sense in a matter of minutes. You have taught me so much. Thank you:)
Hello, I am from Egypt and I was looking for someone good to explain chemical equations and finally I found you and I really understood a lot from your explanation I advised my friends to watch you so that they can benefit as well. Thank you very much for your effort. ❤❤❤
HOW LUCKY AM I?!?! This question is literally on my test review and It was the only hardest question on it😭 I had a full on step by step video...THANK YOU!!
Hi Dr B does it matter which element you pick to start with? like you choose C.. my professor is saying choose the one with the most atoms, such as all the H's together =10 so begin with H mine is similar to your but it uses C3 H6 +O2 =CO2 +H20 when i get to the Oxygen's it is difficult
I like to leave the oxygen atoms until last when balancing chemical equations. So starting with the molecule with the atoms makes sense. The O2 always gives people trouble. This video I did should help: th-cam.com/video/PrWtXYK8tXM/w-d-xo.html --- Dr. B
I think part of it is that we spend a good bit of time thinking about, planning, and then creating content for a specific concept. And we only put our best version out to the world.
It's best to reduce them down to the lowest ratio. But if your ratio is the same as what I got in the video you have balanced it correctly. But most teachers will want you to reduce it.
Must be some sort of incomplete combustion. Perhaps you can work backwards from this: www.webqc.org/balance.php?reaction=C3H8%2BO2%3DCO%2BH2O To understand balancing this equation. It's fairly challenging! --- Dr. B
I don't understand how I'm supposed to know which one to start with because if I start with another element i get a completely different answer. How do you know which element to start with??
It technically shouldn't matter - you should always get the same answer. But leaving O until last is a good strategy. I usually start with C in these type of reactions. - Dr. B
Nope. You have 2 O atoms in the reactants and then 10 in the products. So it is not balanced - but you are close. Just change the coefficient in front of the O2.
This guy doesn’t know how much of a hero he is tonight me more in a minute than my teacher thought me in two hours

how does this man have a video for EVERY SINGLE EQUATION THAT MY CHEM TEACHER HAS
I think the teachers get their questions from here XD
Tell me i'm not the only one watching all his videos for answers...
he literally has all the answers how does this man do it

Happy to help and all the best in chem!

Sir what is the reaction name ?
what are the balanced chemical equations for complete and incomplete combustion of
butane?
You’re a life saver, Dr. B!!!! 😁
This have been helping me tremendously with my homework and exams, I really appreciate you. I really do.

I watching all your videos or answers, thanks dude!
This video helped so much, thank you. But i do i have one question, why does the 4 go in front of the H instead of 8?
bro just saved me from my chemistry teacher ur a legend
Happy to help!
this video saved my brain thank u so much
Yeah, C3H6 + O2 is a bit of an odd equation to balance at first. --- Dr. B
U are really helpful in solving equations simply in a minute
Thank you!
Thank you so much for this explanation , you explained so nice that it helped me in my chemistry test !
Hope you get high marks on your test!

thank you for the video! If it isnt too much trouble, how would you balance C_3H_8+5O_2 = 3CO_2+4H_2O?
excellent video. super clear and easy to understand. !

I love watching your channel. It is very intriguing!
Thank you Dr B

very good explanation, thanks
My tuition teacher was teaching me balancing but I couldn't get it
U made it so clear
Happy to help!
that is so easy thanks hh i am from algeria😊☺😋
this man is a legend. my chem teacher told us to always start with oxygen....they were terribly wrong
Yeah, whenever you have something with only one type of atoms (O2, N2, Fe ...) it usually works best to leave it until last.
thank you! this really helped
Thank you for this video sir ❤❤❤
Most welcome 😊
Can if we balance Oxygen no. Be 12 Also ?? Pls answer
thank you you helped me a lot
Good to hear!
It can also be 2C3H8 + 10O2 --> 6CO2 + 8H2O

If you have multiplied 4 with H2O the oxyzen will be 4 right?

thank you teacher! :D
I was stuck on this exact question for like 2 hours then realized I could have searched it up😐
What type of chemical reaction is it?
is that how the final answer should be written ?
Thank you sir for this helpful explanation..

Sir what is called CH3H8?
Thank you, you are great
Good sir
C3H8+3(O)2 ---> 3(CO2) + 4(H2O)
omg i finally got this part (I'm at the last part of my quiz which is #5) all i have to do is remember how the oxygen became 10.

is it okay if my answer on (Reactant)
C=3x2=6
H=8x2=16
O=2x9=18

C=1x6=6

O=3x6=18

Can you solve this plss

Is this balanced equation correct:
C3H8+O2>3CO2+4H2O

Nope. You have 2 O atoms in the reactants and then 10 in the products. So it is not balanced - but you are close. Just change the coefficient in front of the O2.
