If you have a dual roll system does the integrated catch basket catch output from both rolls or are there two catch baskets?

how does the retractable basket work when printing a whole set of architectural drawings? I'm assuming the sheets don't come out laying flat stacked on each other, but would have to all be pulled out and arranged separately. That may be a deal breaker for us.

Thank you for your question. The “basket” is a piece of mesh cloth that sits in front of the printer (think of it as a rectangular hammock) when pulled out. Essentially, after every print job the printer will laterally cut the job off the roll and the print will land in the basket, not laying it flat, but rather, curved. All subsequent prints should land on top of each other in the basket.

@@epsonamerica you say “print job” but that’s actually every sheet. Is there any sort of separate out feed tray assembly that could go in front of this machine to capture sheets coming out flat?

@@epsonamerica right but it doesn't allow the sheets to come out flat and stack on top of each other. I'll be looking at one in person tomorrow and will determine if it works for my company's needs.

As for Oak Tag, we have not tested Oak tag media and cannot guarantee its compatibility with the printer.

Some companies (brands) does make printable vinyl for pigment printers like this Epson (not good for outdoor) Eco-Solvent printers (Roland, Mimaki and Mutoh) are much better than pigment for outdoor signage or signs for a long life..

Hello... Can please share help how to customize drying time for custom media ?

Thank you for your question! While most Epson genuine medias are instant-dry, drying times vary for custom media widely depend on the custom media being used. Epson does not test all third party media so drying time is not guaranteed. But generally, if the custom media is compatible with inkjet - coated and uncoated media dry quickly. Polypropylene and Specialty CAD Medias like Vellum or Mylar can take a short moment of time to dry after they are printed - allowing a little time before you cut and use the print can be a good practice for those types.
