It happens every time I want to go out for a nice quiet flight on my own..
You don't see too many people take on that plane. Not as glamorous as other Navy planes like the Corsair or even the Hellcat.
More than a few heroes were made flying the Wildcat.
Bunnyshooter 223 Joe Foss did.
Well, that style of retracts are hard to get a hold of, which is the main reason you don't see many of this aircraft
Pro tip: watch movies on Flixzone. Been using them for watching all kinds of movies lately.

Convincingly and completely scale .... at 3:36 landing with crosswind and narrow landing gear .... hats off !

Thank you for sharing this old workhorse of the United States Navy, especially the landing. The Wildcat crabbing against a cross wind then touching down with such a small wheel base without crashing.

Awesome plane, flight and landing by Greg... who knew he was one of the Wright Brothers... the lesser known and much younger one ;) I love the paint scheme and of course the lovely sounding and looking Moki! Brave? Why is that? Is it because you don’t like the brand that lead the way into the 2.4 frequency use in the RC world. Most of the issues that people like yourself have is an end user problem. It’s not the radio brand.

@@AphexTwinII I’ve been flying the Spektrum radios ever since they started with the conversion on the JR 10x with the plug in module and have never in all that time never lost a plane from loosing signal or having brown outs. Not once so like I said it’s usually the end users like yourself that have the issues.. I no your an expert like all the other complainers but Futaba lost out when they screwed over there own team members by selling them faulty receivers that cost them a lot of planes and then a lot of loyal customers. But they have also had there share of issues they just don’t talk about it.. But I have seen quite a few..

Those planes had a manual hand crank that had to be turned 30 times by hand.
I was told by a collector who owns the real thing that it was said during the war you could see the plane bouncing around shortly after take off because of how much effort it took to crank those suckers up and how it took a lot of focus to do that while still maintaining the stick! It would be interesting to see someone program a mix in the radio to bobble the elevator just a hint and pulse the gear til they where locked.
That would win the judges for sure!
Tuffenough4u actually the deal gear go up quite fast even though they are hand crank. Find a video and watch it. I actually did redo the air cylinder and turned them into an electric gear on my second plane I built..
they could put an fpv in the cabin to see it en first person

Due to the fact that there was more planes in the air, they all have to fly at the same direction. Otherwise a collision might be happen easily.
O.K. it doesn't look nice, but this are the rules at Joe Nall.
It was at a show were they required you to only fly a race track pattern.

Wonderful plane, beautifully flown, but why no ignition cut from transmitter? Having to walk out and manually switch off defies most safety rules.
Steve, I’ve never used kill switches on any of my gas planes. It removed another failure point in the ignition system. Plus the battery switch is the kill switch which is all the safety rules require. I could have killed it with the trim but didn’t feel like it.. Thanks for your concerns though.
