​@ashleytorngren1773 bad writing. Plus, they were around the same age/opposite gender and soaps are soaps.
Personally, I would've rather seen Miranda deal with who her father was and navagating life as someone who is ultra wealthy and a member of an infamous family while desperately wanting to be a regular teenager. They briefly touched on it in the revival but they didn't do that good of a job tbh.
