This is an incredible mix but it feels like the orange bass isn't nearly as loud as it is in the original, especially during the section that starts at 0:36
The closest thing I can find is a fangame called "Metroid Planets" but that's the closest, it has a super metroid styled kraid fight and ridley fight, but that's about it (with the original fights as mini bosses hiding items)
Dunno if I'm just imagining this or not, but some parts sound like you used the Sunsoft Bass trick (I think Batman for the NES did that as well). This sounds pretty good!

Speaking of Super Metroid... Metroid Zero Mission uses a couple musics from Super Metroid for the areas it added to the original Metroid (i.e. Crateria and Chozodia). I guess, these Crateria underground and both versions of Chozodia stealth can make very good NES-remixes. That being said, I believe Super Metroid's version, Crateria theme, would be a better choice, being more simple (which NES-musics usually are in comparison to e.g. SNES songs), not to mention that it's a five channel song of which two of them (the bass channels) can be compressed into one channel. Of course, it also can be interesting to listen to a remix Zero Mission's Brinstar, Kraid, Norfair, Ridley and Tourain to see how much they differ from the original.
