My opinion is: If you didn't see it when it happened, it didn't make enough of a difference to violate the spirit of the rule. The review and the challenge should be removed because when it comes down to inches like this, it's just removing a perfectly good goal on a dumb technicality that didn't even the scoring team an advantage.
