I have a 454 and what a pain in the back side it starts and runs good but the steering is the pits I have changed the steering ram and the pump under the steering wheel and had the main pump and the deviated valve checked out and it still steers hard and the brakes are on the same circuit which don’t work and who would put a parking brake inside the tractor but yours is looking good .
i hate to hear about all you issues with yours sounds like you have an obstrucion of some sort or a bad leak that posiibly is internal and not leaking outside the tractor i would say loosing your preasure to your steering and such we have 3 of these that are basically same system 454 584 and 464 and have never had issues with any of them the real bad you would prob have to split your tractor to get to the issue unless there is some sort of preasure releif valve somewhere on the outside that is just bypassing that i am not sure is but worth getting an manual for unless not planning on keeping the tractor thanks for watching like and subscribe
You have also I hope bled the circuit we had a similar issue I do remember and we bled it possible air lock in your system but our issue was quickly resolved
