My plan B would be original greek mythology theming… the land itself is already so beautiful, I wish they would lean into it and turn sinbad/poseidon’s fury into a slow moving boat ride or something down the river styx where we are escaping the underworld. I love when universal creative can really have free rein, and I just love the theming/music/ambience of the lost continent!
My son LOVES LOVES LOVES greek mythology (if they could do Percy Jackson he would try to get us to move down to FL 😂). But having it NOT tied to an IP I think is the better way to go. I second this idea! 🙋🏼♀️
My wife and I saw you this morning from across the entrance to islands of adventure. Couldn’t quite get to you to say hi before we lost sight of you. We are definitely hoping for Zelda and pokemon themed lands between the three parks. Hoping that tour guide was just attempting to throw the community off Universal’s future plans 🙏 Great to see you, sad we couldn’t say hi!
How tough are the crowds/ wait times around this time? Were booked at Sapphire Falls for later this month (20th) but my friend is wanting to upgrade to Portofino bay for the express passes. I dont think we'll need it but she does. We've never been so close to thanksgiving tho so maybe we will. Any advice?
Dufftoberfest might be over but you can still get that same beer at City Works Pour House in Disney Springs, just look for Sunshine State FL lager. It's the same style beer brewed by the same brewer: Florida Beer Co. in Cape Canaveral 👍🍻
If we can't have Zelda, bring back Poseidon but for heaven's sake, update the story! They film was so cheesy, like watching Dynasty. But my family still loved it. The interactive with the actors, the greek theming, the water tunnel. Have some decent writers come up with a new way to use the space for story telling. I agree with another comment that Avatar the Last Airbender (the animated version!) could be fun. Earth, Air, Fire, Water! Seems like it's a perfect fit with what is already there. No idea who owns the rights.
There's a lot of investment into that Wicked movie wow....I'm just shocked they completely flipped a store for it. Other stores are already selling the merch.
Lord of the rings is a great replacement for lost continent. Universal already has a contract with WB might as well get in on the token universe now since WB plans on making more movies based on the books.

Hot take (?): If its not a blockbuster of ideas for Lost Continent, and they will dedicate time to make it "Hogsmeade" like over the years -- I would rather have them spend more money for live entertainment and characters around lands that people go to; and add it to less busy areas. This would even out the crowd around the whole park, and not be crowds that are "tilted" to just the back of IOA. Boat rides on the lagoon. Jugglers and musical acts in Toon (30-40s Jazz).
I would like to see an expansion of Harry Potter or even just keep it with the Greek mythology theme but create new rides, maybe like a mummy-type ride but with a greek mythology theme.
Love all the updates, thanks for that. We moved to Florida a few years back and now have annual passes to Universal. We go a few times a year for 3-4 days at a time. While I love it and enjoy it, after a few days, I’m bored. As much as I love the updates, I couldn’t possibly spend as much time there as you do!
Wicked will flop. It will be yet another misunderstood female villain that will ruin the films of the past. It’s one of the same writers that wrote Cruella. They did the same with Maleficent, they just refuse to have women being bad. It’s going to be just as bad as the upcoming live action Snow White movie next year. I don’t trust Disney/Universal with any property anymore with woke people working there. And I say Yes to Christmas decorations.

That area feels perfect for more Mummy stuff. A dark ride thru the Pigmy forest or something. Or a ride running from the sand monster.

Uncharted is Sony IP, Uncharted has a ride in Portaventura in Spain dont think they would allow another park that IP
